The Israelite of the Bible Vs the Jews of Today

Hezekiah There are many misconceptions about who are the true Israelites of the Bible, and are those the Israelites of the Bible in Israel today? Most people believe a Jew is a person who practices Judaism. That is true as far as Judaism is concerned, but the Bible does not support it. This concept of who the Israelites really are will show you the difference.

Romans3:1-4 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Acts 7:37-38 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

John4:21-22 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Hezekiah They were given the word of God to learn and teach. They were given the job of being the nation to get all of the sons and daughters of Adam to keep the Oracles of God, but they blew the mission. This is the big secret of them being the "chosen people". A Gentile can preach the word, but that gentile must learn under an Israelite before they can Preach, teach or whatever you wanna call it. Now we are going to find out who the Israelite are, and where they came from according to the Bible, and history. We are going to start all the way back to after the flood, and Noah’s sons.

Genesis10:1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah; Shem, Ham, and Ja’-pheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.

Hezekiah Let's confirm that in History.

History
Noah’s son’s were Shem, Ham, and Japhet. Ham became father of the Hamatic peoples, and Japhet was the father of peoples of Asia Minor, and Europe.(World book Encyclopedia, volume 14, 443) The ancient Egyptians were Hamites.(World book Encyclopedia, volume 9, 33) The ancient Egyptians had dark skin and dark hair(World Book Encyclopedia, volume 6,134)

Hezekiah From history we did find out that Noah did have three sons, and out of his son Ham came the Egyptians who were a dark race of people. They don’t look like a dark race of people today and this is why:

History
Over the years, many groups of people have invaded Egypt and intermarried with the native Egyptians. As a result, present-day Egyptians can trace their ancestry not only to the ancient Egyptians, but also to such groups as Arabs, Ethiopians, Persians, and Turks; and Greeks, Romans, and other Europeans. (World Book Encyclopedia, volume6, 121)

Hezekiah So, we know that Egypt used to be a dark race of people before they were invaded, and mixed with Arabs. This information on Egypt will be significant later. Now out of Shem came the Semitic peoples; the Hebrews, and then the Israelites. Out of Abraham; the father of the Hebrews, came Isaac, who fathered Jacob and Esau. Isaac had a wife named Rebekah, and she was pregnant with twins, and she had a hard time with the pregnancy. She went to the Lord about it, and this is what he told her.

Genesis25:23 And the Lord said unto her, two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

Genesis25:25-26 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called him Esau. And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob:

Hezekiah Now Esau was the first born who should receive the blessing to become God’s people or the people who God gave the word, but he is going to sell his birthright to Jacob. If you remember, the Lord said that the older would serve the younger, so God predicted that Esau would sell his birthright.

Genesis25:30-33 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called E-dom. And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do me? And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

Hezekiah So Jacob received the birth right or the oracles of God. If you read Genesis chapter 27, it will tell you how Isaac ended up blessing Jacob instead of Esau. Esau eventually became the father of the E’-do-mites because remember he was called E-dom.

Genesis36:9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the E’-do-mites in Mount Se’-ir:

Hezekiah Keep Mount se’-ir in mind, now Jacob grew up, and eventually had twelve sons, which were the twelve tribes of Israel or Jacob. One of these sons would become second in command in Egypt, and Jacob, which God changed his name to Israel, and the other sons would eventually move to Egypt with Joseph, who was their brother and that is how the children of Israel eventually became slaves in Egypt. The Israelites and Egyptian history are closely related because Israel was in bondage for 430 Years. The Israelites and the Egyptians looked a lot alike, so people mistaken them for Egyptians at times. Remember that the ancient Egyptians are a dark race of people. You can read about all of this in Genesis Charters 37-41. Now we are going to pick it up when the Egyptians decided to enslave the Israelites.

Exodus 1:1-14 Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. Ruben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Is’-sa-char, Zeb’-ulun, and Benjamin, Dan, and Naph’-ta-li, Gad, and Asher. And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already. And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation. And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. Now there arose a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for pharaoh treasure cities, Pi-thom and Ra-am’-ses. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel. And the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve with rigour; And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

Hezekiah The Israelites were in bondage to Egypt, and they built the pyramids, and temples, and the clothes, etc. Moses then came on the scene, and he was found by the daughter of the Pharaoh of Egypt, and she took him as her own because she looked just like him, and figured he was an Egyptian. Moses grew up to know he was an Israelite, and hated how the Egyptians treated them, but the Egyptians didn’t know he was an Israelite. He killed an Egyptian for beating one of his Israelite brothers, and had to flee. You can read that in Exodus chapter 2. As he was fleeing he sat down by a well, and that is where we are going to pick it up.

Exodus 2:16-19 Now the priest of Mid’-i-an had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock. And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their father’s flock. And when they came to Reu’-el their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon today? And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.

Hezekiah Now if the Egyptians were a dark race of people, and the Israelites looked like them. What color were the Israelites? Now we all know the story of Moses, and God delivering the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by the hand of Moses. The Lord had Moses part the Red Sea, and everything. Now we are going to see what happened to the Israelites in the land of Israel. They were in the wilderness 40 years, and they finally made it in the land. Remember they were given the word of God, so if they didn’t practice the word of God, God is going to punish them if you follow the stories of Moses. You can read them from Exodus to Deuteronomy. We are going to see when God punished them, and what he did to them. We are also going to see even after Jesus’ death, Israelites were still being confused with Egyptians. First we are going to see in history that Israel was just not the Jews, and being a Jew is not a religion, it is a nationality.

History: The divided kingdom. After Solomon's death about 922BC, the 10 northern tribes split away from the tribes of Benjamin and Judah in the south. The northern kingdom continued to be called Israel. The two southern tribes kept Jerusalem as their capital and called their kingdom Judah. The word Jew comes from Judah, and although the two kingdoms were divided politically, they remained united in their religious beliefs. The Jews continued to regard themselves as one people descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and devoted to the teachings of Moses.(World Book Encyclopedia, volume11, 119)

Hezekiah So, Jew comes from Judah, and not Judaism. We are going to look at where Judaism came from too. Now we are going to look at history and the 10 tribes of Israel who were kicked out of Israel for disobeying the Lord.

History: During the 700’s BC, a people called the Assyrians conquered much of the Middle East, including the northern kingdom of Israel. The people of Israel scattered and gradually adopted the ways of the peoples among whom they settled. These northern tribes disappeared as a separate people, and so they are known as the ten lost tribes.(World Book Encyclopedia, volume 11, 119).

Hezekiah From the 700’s BC until 70AD there were only Jews in Israel. Now, let’s read about the Jews of the Bible, and this is when Jesus predicted that the Jews would be carted of into captivity.

Luke21:20-24 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Hezekiah Now Jesus predicted this about 30AD. Last time I checked, Gentiles ran the world. The times of the Gentiles are not fulfilled, and won’t be fulfilled until the second coming of Jesus Christ. Now this is after Jesus’ death, and Israelites are still being confused with Egyptians. Paul is talking about his conversion to believe in Jesus Christ to be the Messiah, but look how the Greek mistakes him for an Egyptian.

Acts 21:38-39 Art not thou that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers? But Paul said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.

We are going to look at Jesus’ prediction in history Luke 21:24 happened in 70AD.

History About June 16, 70AD, the Romans launched an all out attack on the towers north of Herod’s palace and on the fortress of Antonia, The Romans used siege machinery, and dikes, but the was fended off. Titus ordered a siege wall to be thrown around the city to starve out the defenders. By decree of Titus, all of the inhabitants of Jerusalem taken into captive and all its building were burned to the ground. Only three towers around which they camped were left standing, and the ruins of the region was placed under surveillance.(New Catholic Encyclopedia, volume 7, 191)

Hezekiah It happened in history, just as Jesus predicted in the Bible. Now we are going to focus on E-dom to see what they were doing through all this time. This history on Edom.

History Edom was an ancient kingdom that is often mentioned in the old testament. It stood southeast of the Dead Sea in what is now southern Jordan. The Edomites spoke a language similar to Hebrew and probably worshipped many gods. The country’s rich copper and iron mines contributed to the splendor of the Kingdom of Israel, which had conquered Edom under David. An Arab people called the Nabateans invaded Edom during the Persia period of the 500’s and 400’s BC. As a result, many Edomites fled to southern Judah. They helped establish a territory there know as Idumea. The Hasmonean dynasty conquered the Idumaeans in the 100’s BC, and converted them to Judaism.(World Book Encyclopedia, volume 5, 83) When the Assyrian Empire had been defeated by the Babylonians, the Edomites became subject to the latter. Later, when the people of Judah had been conquered and exiled by the Babylonians, the Edomites saw an opportunity to take for themselves a portion of the defenseless land of Judaea. In the times of Jesus Christ, the Edomites, now a mixed people known as the Idumaeans were ruled by the Herod family who ruled Jerusalem. King Herod; called Herod the Great was Idumaean, and ruled as a Jew.(New Catholic Encyclopedia volume 5, 87)

Hezekiah So, Edom tried to take Jerusalem when the Israelites were kicked out for a time, and in 70AD, they took all of the land. Then they were kicked out by the Romans in 131AD, thus the great dispersa, but the Jews were already in captivity. So those people who say the are Jews are Jews because of Judaism, and not the Jews of the bible.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them come and worship before thy feet, and know that I have loved thee.

Obadiah 10-12 For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever. In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them. But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

Hezekiah This is talking about in 70 AD when Edom went in and took the land, and stayed there 60 years before the Romans kicked them out. That is why now the Edomites are considered Jews. They were the last to be in the land, and Edom knew that if they didn’t say they were the Jews, the real Israelites could find there heritage, and try to take their rightful land. The rest of the world had no idea, and in 1948, after WWII, the Edomites possing as Jews got the land back because when they were kicked out they contiued to call themselves Jews. They are fighting the Palistinians because when the Romans kicked out the Edomites the Palistinians slid in their and called it Palistine. They have been fight ever since. When God gathers Israel again, he is going to gather all 12 of the tribes, not just the Jews.

Jeremiah 23:6-8 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

Hezekiah Now here is where the religion of Judaism came from, and pay close attention where these Jews came from. You will see that they came from the countries that Hitler mass murdered them, and those are the Jews who came to Israel is 1948, not the Jews of the Bible because they are still in captivity. They are not in physical bondage, but spiritual bondage because they don’t know who they are for the most part.

History Hasidism is a movement in modern Judaism. Followers believe that God is everywhere, and there is no cause for despair or unhappiness. They believe they can best serve God by expressing joy. Hasidism emphasizes joyous prayer. In their religious services, followers sing and dance a great deal. Baal Shem Tov, a Jewish teacher, and his followers founded Hasidism in Poland and Lithuania about 1760. The movement spread rapidly throughout eastern Europe. By the late 1700s, Hasidic settlements had been established in Palestine. Haskalah was a religious cultural movement that tried to modernize traditional Jewish beliefs and practices. Haskalah is the Hebrew word for enlightenment. The movement began among German and Polish Jews during the late 1700s and spread to other Jewish communities in Europe.(World Book Encyclopedia, volume 9, 83)

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-2 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

Ecclesiastes 12:7-14 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity. And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs. The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth. The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd. And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Sorry about all the commentary, and history, but you would not believe or read the entire thread if I put just scriptures, ther are too many, you must read on your own, I referenced scripture to read on your own throughout this thread. Look all that history up. All of it is very accurate.
