The job of an assistant pastor

Someone ask me what was the job of an Assistant Pastor? An assistant pastors job is: to assist the senior pastor in wherever  he or she is needed. Scripture reading, worship,visiting the sick, a funeral, a wedding depending on the size of the church but most of all the job of an assistant pastor is to support the senior pastor and assist where they are needed.. Support, assist and follow the vision of the senior pastor are key elements, not run there own program or agenda. That is my answer to the question of what is the job of an assistant pastor.
