The history of the prosperity gospel comes from an Gnostic source: that of New Thought metaphysics, Unity School of Christianity, and Religious Science. Many of the cardinal doctrines of the Christian faith with that of the historical characters of the Bible have been systematically perverted into bad mythology. In order to avert such a crisis within Christianity is to be rooted and grounded in God's Word so as to grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ (2 Pet. 3:18). To be properly taught God's Word is to produce such spiritual growth and godly living.
