THE WAY OF WISDOM !
The Way of Wisdom! Prov. 1:1 to 7 , THE PROVERBS of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgement, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear, and increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation , the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Prov.3: 13 to 15, Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Prov.4:5 to 9, Get wisdom, get understanding : forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee; love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; and with all thou getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. Acts.6:1 to 3, AND IN those days , when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said , IT is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report , full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. Acts.6 :9-10, And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him, And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt: and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. 1Cor. 1:19 to25, For it is written, I will destory the wisdom of the wise , and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks , Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 1Cor.2:4 to 7, And my speach and my preaching was not with enticing words of mans wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery , even the hidden wisdom , which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Eph.1:15 to 17, Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you , making mention of you in my prayers: That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory , may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: Col. 4:5-6, Walk in wisdom toward them that are without , redeeming the time. Let your speach be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how to ye ought to answer every man. James 1:5, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally , and upbraideth not: and it shall be given him. James 3:13 to 17, Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work But the wisdom that is from above is first pure , then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated , full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. Prov. 10:23, It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom. Prov.10:31, The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.
