TONGUE FASTING

We should as believers of the Gospel ,,at times should go on a TONGUE FAST..because what comes out of some people mouths are damaging to themselves and others..when we think that we should say something thats the more that we should shut up

James 3:1-12
(1) Preachers, because they can cause tremendous damage (v1-5)

(2) Our speech, because of the great harm it will do (v5b-8) more than that

(3) Our hearts, because we are not who we should be. (v9-12

That kind of stuff weakens the church. Poor leadership weakens the youth group or the Bible study. Vicars and other leaders have to wake up to the harm they can do with a life that doesn’t match the teaching, or with teaching that is off beam
We frequently encounter Christian fantasy especially in the Full-Gospel Movement.

Truth - Deut. 32:4, A God of truth. He is the God of Truth. If you are of God, then truth will flow thru your mouth. Some are not true worshipers but are hypocrites that are putting on a religious show that stinks in God's nostrils.

Lies - Num. 23:19, God is not a man that He should lie. God doesn't lie but man does. There are a lot of pat phrases in the Christian world that are not true when put to the test. As Earline says, you burn while you learn. It is a soulish prophesy that frequently ends with thus saith the Lord. If you say your soulish prophesy is from God, then you are lying about God.

Christian Fables And Cliches - There are many fables and cliches (tradition) that are passed off as the Gospel. Generally, these are sayings that make you fell good.

Deliverance Myths - There is much ignorance and many myths about deliverance. Deliverance is the most misunderstood part of the Christian life. Deliverance is the most controversial and unpopular part of the Christian life.

Prophecy Myths - Prophecies can be a blessing or a curse. The most danger for abuse lies in personal prophecy. Charismatic witches use personal prophecy to control others.

The true prophet does not make any mistakes. All of his prophecies come true. In the Old Testament, if the prophet missed God, he was stoned (Deut. 13:1-5, 18:20). I wonder what would happen if we killed the false prophets today
Spoken Curses

There are two ways that we can curse another person: thought or speaking. We can pray a psychic prayer or we can speak against another person either in our thoughts or out loud. We need to be careful what we think and speak, as well as what we do. The words we think or speak go out into the air and they have power to do good or evil.

GOD CREATED HEAVEN AND EARTH WITH WHAT CAME FROM HIS MOUTH..WHAT ARE WE CREATING WITH OURS??

Only three things can control a man's tongue,
A. The grace of God.
B. Cutting the tongue from a man's mouth.
C. Death.

Silence isn't a bad thing but what you say and how you say it is. I have been around enough to hear stuff that would blow the top of the mountain off. The scary part of it all is that theses people speaking this way are children of God how rebellious the churches are today with allowing members to speak bad to one another as well as having no faith in your own like and in up speaking against it. My prayer is that this generation get it together and see that it is truly a God thing and not man and the more obedient we can be to his word the less Garbage you will see coming out of peoples mouths.

This I's true and I have been part of the problem as well
it is a crowd pleaser,people feel that they got to see and hear five preachers ,,but the anointing was really on one,so they should hear that one only .now that's my opinion and I am sticking to it

Well we call it pass the mike preaching
I have been guilty of it but it is a crowd pleaser,,I have learned that if the anointing is on you then the assignment is yours,,why would a person try to shift what God has given them??If the truth be told you can't give me nothing that you don't have,,it all came from God elevation comes not from the east or north but from God,,Again it is a crowd pleaser,,and the peopl will give afterwards

I too use notes and if it is a sin then I will be selling ice cubes three for a dollar in he'll..LOL..I use notes to get started with and during meditating before the Lord I write down what he places in my spirit,,it also keeps me focuse now when the spirit hits me then I can't script God

I call it crawling before you walk,,a lot of Preachers just start walking without first crawling,,now there are some that can hit the floor running ,,But that's from years of exprience also being SEASONED and they got it down packed,,I have a cousin who is a revival preacher he can read two verses and close the Bible and in ten minutes Every deacon,usher,church nurse are scrambling around the church trying to calm the members down,,I can go but not like him..LOL

I heard a Preacher speak and I can tell that he was not hearing before the lord but I kept silent and told him PRIVATELY about his sermon,,when we dont hear from GOD then we have to Preach or teach from studying and STOP saying that the lord told me PLENTY of Times I have taught rather than to preach and say GOD told me,,this makes my blood boil

Ps.120:3, "What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?" Our Creator is saying to the tongue; the rest of the members of your body stand straight and tall, but your tongue is lying down. All the other members of the body are external, your eyes, your ears, your hands, your feet, but your tongue is internal, hidden from view.
