There are times in our lives when God is untracable. It seems as though our situations are whirling out of control, and our enemies are celebrating over us. The question comes to mind...where is God? In Habakkuk 1:2 it says, "O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! Even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!" In Habakkuk's day it seemed as if the wicked was getting away with their evil ways. Judah was breaking God's law and nothing was being done (Habakkuk 1:4). It seems like our enemy or situation is winning! In the 5 vs. God speaks back to Habakkuk, and tells him to be observant, "for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you." I submit this to you, we are seeing another side of God that we have never seen before. The reason He didn't reveal it to us when this thing begin, is because we would not have believed it. In the next verses He tells Habakkuk how he's using the Chaldeans (Babylonians) to judge Judah. Now, God is using a nation more wicked than Judah to judge them? That does not sound like God, it's not like the God we know. Habakkuk wanted them to be judged for their ways, but not destroyed as the Chaldeans would do. In this hour God will use other people and situations that are more scarier that our enemy and situation to judge them. I know it is not God's M.O., but He's showing us a side of Him we have not seen. So, the just must live by faith. When we cannot trace God we must trust Him. He will come through for you. He will not allow the wicked to triumph over the righteous!
