Want Your Needs Met? Then Obey God's Word Today.

1 John 3:17} But if anyone has this world's goods (resources for sustaining life) and sees his brother and fellow believer in need, yet closes his heart of compassion against him, how can the love of God live and remain in Him?

One of the greatest ways we can operate in love is to help those who are in need. It's our way of showing them that God loves them and cares very much about them and that we do too! It is love in action. All through my life I have prayed for others to see, feel, hear and experience Jesus through me. All my life God has given me such a giving heart. Even times when I was in need myself I always found a way to bless someone. Many times in prayer God has shown me a need a person has and I was quick to obey. I remember when I was living on only $500 a month after my husband died. It was a very difficult time for me. One day in prayer the Lord showed me a good friend of mine who needed help. In prayer He showed me that her cupboards were bare and told me to help. I had little food myself but I obeyed the leading of the Spirit of God. I went through all my things and ended up with three bags of groceries for her. Yep, even stuff I didn't want to give away but keep for myself. But I didn't want to operate in selfishness so I gave it. When I delivered the things to her I couldn't get over her reaction. She was in tears and thanking me. Then she asked "How did you know, I didn't tell anyone.'' With that I told her well you had to tell Jesus because He told me. What is my point here? If we are truly praying for one another God will show us who has a need. They won't and shouldn't have to ask! There is always something we can do. Plus the blessings are amazing! I never ran out of food! I had so many blessings come it that it was overwhelming! That's our generous God!

When are we going to realize that it is in giving out that we will be overwhelmingly blessed? There are two little widows in my life whom God always has me bless them with some gift or food or whatever God lays on my heart. I love to bless them both because after my husband died I did a study on the widow. I learned so much. The orphans and widows have high priority on God's list. Widows aren't preached enough in today's churches. So I did a study on that and put it on both my sites. I hope you will go there someday and look at it. (www.sharinginkingdomlife@piczo.com and www.sharinginkingdomlifearchives@piczo.com) I'm so happy that I'm quick to obey and don't banter with God. Why? Because the Lord has blessed me over and above what I've ever expected in those times. If we want to be blessed then we need to stop hoarding and looking to our own needs and ask God on a daily basis who we can bless. But when He shows us we are to be quick in obeying. If we ignore blessing someone, when it comes to our needs we too will be ignored. Also if we don't bless generously, we should not expect a generous blessing from God.

We also have to realize that our giving has to be led by the Spirit of God. When I was a new child of God, just born again, I loved to bless people out of my own heart. In other words, God never told me to do it. As I grew spiritually I found that many people operated in a spirit of usery. They would hint around when they wanted something and tug on my heartstrings to give to them. Of course, my emotions were involved back then and I always blessed them. Now that the Lord has given me more discernment along those lines He really checks me when I"m not to give to someone. You may ask: Why would God withhold you from blessing someone? Because sometimes we can get in God's way of dealing with a certain person. When we have the resources we should always go to God and ask whom we can bless and when we should do it.

I see so many Christians today who are hoarding their goods and very stingy when it comes to blessing someone. Yet I see so many awesome Christians who are going through very tough times and always being a blessing to others. I have seen through my walk with the Lord that those who have a generous and giving heart will always be blessed abundantly and over and above what they even expect. If you take time to really read and meditate on God's word you will find that people who were very prosperous and blessed by God were those who were quick to repent, always went to God for advice, had a big generous heart, quick to forgive others, and most of all very obedient to the Spirit of God. God is on the move these days and so wants bless and prosper His people in every area of our lives. But what are we doing for the Lord in order to gain those blessings? Let's stop running after the things of this world, step it up a notch or two, and look to bless God's Kingdom. When we seek Him and His Kingdom first ALL things will be added unto us. We will not be in any area of lack in our lives. This is the place God desires to bring us to this year. Pay attention to what God is saying through His people. Be truly attentive to His voice. God bless you. I love you but Jesus loves you so much more than I ever could.
