What is it?

We never seem to have enough of it for
It is fleeting and can’t be saved yet
It runs out in an hour glass, you
Just turn the glass over and more of it you get

For the old it is running out and
For the new born it has just begun
It is different for every person but it
Is given to each and everyone

Some people waste it, while others don’t
Even give it a second thought
It passes real slow to some in church
Or too fast when a lesson is being taught

For each of us it is set and up to God
How much we shall get from Him
What is it? It’s time of course, and time
Is something you shouldn’t take as a whim
