Who Sold You That Line of...
John 14:23-26 (NLT)
23 Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.
24 Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey me. And remember, my words are not my own. What I am telling you is from the Father who sent me.
25 I am telling you these things now while I am still with you.
26 But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.
Who told you that your way was the right way? Why are we fighting each other, the "so called" saints? (Those of us that are suppose to be sold out for God; you know true until the end, the Holy Ones!) Why is it that we fight over whether we use names like Jesus Christ, Yahweh, Jah, and YHWH, or study only Hebrew, Greek, or fight over the missing books of the bible, or get caught up in denominations, non-denominations, Baptist, southern Baptist, Catholic, protestant, and so on and so on. Sounds to me as if we all doubt our Father’s ability and the true educator’s ability (The Holy Spirit) to lead and guide us.
I think of Moses having to go to Pharaoh without a clue of what to say other than “Let my people go!” Yet, he went, and accomplished his task in ways that I’m certain astounded him. He believed God. Do you? Do I? Do we? When I stumbled across this network, I was so excited initially. With my rose colored glass perspective and hope for those chosen, called or even just crazy enough to want to be in the ministry, I was certain I had ran up on a true jewel. Reading the blogs of all these top heavy opinionated individuals challenged my intellect and made me want to know more. But as the topics ranged from, “Who’s right and wrong, to should pastors get paid, to a lot of gossip and mess and debates, and more debates and more and more and more…I was tired! I was no longer excited, I was frustrated and at times beside myself.
I wondered, why all these knowledgeable people were spending all this time, (me too) typing to each other, when the world is out there suffering. The harvest, has no true laborers; it’s still plentiful and growing. My, my, what were we doing? I asked, myself first: “regi, why did you get on this network?” Well I didn’t want to promote anything. I wasn’t seeking speaking engagements, didn’t have anything to sell; so why indeed? I wasn’t looking to match wit, or puff myself up, or fight for some doctrinal cause, so why?
I ask you, why are you here? I read about your revivals, and schools, and workshops, and I even commented vehemently on some of your blogs, and then I said, now what? So I am now a debater too? Who did I help? What was changed? I changed. I changed my mind about getting on here with my propaganda, my self righteousness (which in the sight of God is nothing of filthy rags), He makes us righteous. I thought, “regi, you really want to learn more? Then take it to the Holy Spirit.” So each time I would read something that caused me to think, I took it to the Holy Spirit. You know, we all have our take on the word, and the only true take is God’s take!
I thought, man that’s really true. I’ve been in this church thing (religion) for a very long time, and heck, I’m not interested in repeating the wilderness journey, reading about it is good enough for me to learn from their mistakes. Everybody has to be the one with the right answer and we only know what Father allows us to know. You can scholar yourself to death, and one greater, can and will debate you and cause you to retract. But when God gives His word, nothing can move it, because He hides it in our hearts, burns it there. The Holy Spirit “aint” no joke. But many of us are.
Here’s the deal. I’m asking myself right now, why are you blogging? To vent? To inspire? To insight? To provoke? Yes, to all. I would like each of us, to consider that while we are doing what we think is good, (a friend shared this revelation with me) are we doing what Father says is right? Pastors’ anniversaries, are they good? Are the right? People are homeless and in even worse states, but we need an anniversary fund raiser? Did anyone give Jesus one? How about the Apostles? I think Jesus said, He had no home. I believe the Apostles worked and cared for those that followed them. I think that they taught God’s word, and didn’t even hang with the church folks, because the church folks (laws people) were trying to behead them at every turn. They were true rebels for the Gospel. They preached the gospel, not watered down, not sugar coated, not to entertain, or tickle, but to set the captives free!
So I ask, when or if you drive through a poverty stricken area, where gangs rule, prostitutes beg, children rob, drunks sleep, and the streets are cluttered with beer bottles, trash, dead road kill, and boarded up condemn buildings, what do you think?
When you see our kids sentenced to 15 and 20 years for selling crack at ages 17 and at time younger, what do you say?
Say you and your church or communities decided to do something noble, and go to one of these hoods, with your bibles neatly tucked under your arms, your music, and maybe some food from the food bank, and clothing that you no longer want, can fit, was given and didn’t know how to say you didn’t want them, or even something nice and someone in the hood, breaks your car window, or screams obscenities at you, what do you think or do?
I’ve heard many say, “I shake the dust off my feet, they don’t want nothing.” I laugh, who do you think is crying out? Where do you think this harvest is? Did Father say this cause would be easy? Isn’t it easy to help someone that is nice and knows they need help? So what did you really do? Mostly we keep in our circles, and debate word, and talk about pimps in the pulpit, or money grubbers, and so on, then we do a noble thing and say we are Christians, yeah!
We have a food ministry, yeah, we are 501-C3 so we get tax breaks and government food. Please, what have we done? Are you good if Father came back right now? Right now? I’m not! I ask Father, often, what to do? How to do? When to do? There is so much to do and it’s so overwhelming? I’m at this place of letting go, truly, not with words, but truly letting go and letting God. Who knows better than Father?
Here is my charge. Consider, stopping all the building funds that are building new churches, sit outside. Consider stopping the money changing and if you do money let it be fully disclosed and used for the Kingdom. Seek Father’s will for what He truly wants. Get down off of your doctrinal high horse and know that God is real and you are not Him. Stop debating and start relating. Get out of the fancy building and do more than give some food or have a block party or cook out. Teach your people to work, to know Father for themselves. Give back the hope in Christ and not in man.
Tell the truth. None of the disciples were rich, really. They gave it up. They were felons in jail all the time, or near death. They suffered with joy; how did they do that? I can’t stand to stump my toe, but I’m getting there. I’m understanding that God is nothing to play with, so to those of you that are playing, woe! We need to stop worrying about the false prophets and crooks, and be about Father’s business. He said, if they are spreading the gospel even if He didn’t appoint, choose or call them, they are for Him and not against Him. He’ll weed them out. This goes to me first, because I was so frustrated with this, but not anymore. I’m going to do what I’m suppose to do according to Father’s word and trust The Holy Spirit to instruct and teach me. I’m going to be the puppet, the clay, and let The Holy Spirit, be the puppet master and the potter.
We are nothing without Him. Don’t get it twisted. Who sold you that line of bull. Throw it out and get that log out of your eye and then you be about doing it right. Trust Father, He made everything, and knows everything, and sees everything, and can do ANYTHING except fail, because the Word says, there is no Failure in HIM!

13 When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.
14 But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.
15 Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.
16 For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

Amen, I got you Pastor. I agree, and the good news to top it all, is-- those with The Holy Spirit are teachable! Those who have an ear to hear, will indeed hear as they truly seek God's will. Thank you for sharing. Blessings...

I agree that taking them on as arguing is certainly futile as we can see here on BPN and I've gotten into more than one of those worthless debates back and forth. Now what I do if just make comments on something that goes against God's Word and leave it alone. Too many listen to and have been taught false doctrine by some leaders and truly believe what they have been taught is truth. They fail to allow the Holy Spirit to guide and teach them in God's Word. The scriptures are of no private interpretation so we all need to study for ourselves and when another teaches go to the Word to see if what they say aligns up with what God says.

Hi John, thanks for commenting. I don't think I will get very many posts, b/c of the type of blog, but if it touches someone or causes someone to think or take inventory, I believe it will accomplish its intended goal. I'm torn about the exposure statement, only b/c there is so much back and forth and this person says that and another says this, and so I ask, where does it end? I concur that exposing false doctrine to those that are your sheep or who might have an ear to hear, would be good, but to take on the person, I'm just not certain. God's word tells us that many will stand b/4 Him claiming to have done many things in His name, and He will not know them. Somehow, taking on the fasle preachers/teachers seems a waste b/c they won't be able to hear, if they believe they are correct. It might depend on what you are really saying by taking them on..teaching those that will listen? Going to the person in love? Debating would be futile! I appreciate your comment and your love for the Father's truth.

You said a lot and a lot of truth and that is what I love to hear, truth, God's truth. The one thing I will say is that I find it in my soul to expose wrong doctrine and false preachers/teachers because as a son of God I must to show others that may be trapped. Wonderful blog that I pray opens some eyes and ears. God bless.
