WHY does God allow us to go through pain??

You may have heard this before and then again, maybe you haven't.
I for one believe this is one of the BEST explanations/ answers to the question....

WHY does God allow us to go through pain?

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed.
As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation.
They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said:
"I don't believe that God exists."
"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.
"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist.
Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people?
Would there be abandoned children?
If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain.
I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things."
The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument.
The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop
Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard.
He looked dirty and unkept. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber:
"You know what? Barbers do not exist."
"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber.
"I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"
"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because
if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."
"Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me."
"Exactly!" affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist!
That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help.

That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

BE BLESSED & BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS !!!!!!! Let them know there IS a true and living God!

Sometimes we need to stay still and let God do his work. Never allow the devil to take you out of your character.

Eric it sounds as though someone is jealous. He wants to say we don't know what true suffering is according to the bible because we have not suffered the way Jesus and the Apostles did . In saying all that I have yet to see him mention he has suffered like The Apostles all I see is someone trying to prove everyone wrong in what we said about suffering also I read what you posted again and I see no where you taking credit for anyone else writings but what I do see is you giving glory to God and only those who have the spirit of God would know this.

I truly thank you all,,But let the Heavens rejoice First,,,I like all of your response,,you all made valudated points..Minister Jackson I enjoy your ministry because you heard from Heaven on high and started Praying,,and thats my point I too endure suffering and therefore I know what I am talking about,,FIRST HAND EXPERTISE,,I know when you have everything your that MAN but when trails come and you lose it all so does the people,,BUT GOD,,,I have more than I lost and my latter is greater than my former..many people would have lost there minds if they been through a fraction of what some on this web page been through,,BUT GOD Grace and Mercy over powered what the enemy or what we put ourself in... Minister Jackson you have the ELIHU spirit who was the youngest of Job friends and started to encourage and PRAY for JOB while the others gave there Opinion on why Job was suffering,,,God's Reasons OVERPOWER man's opinion.and that was my point I kept trying to make ,,ONLY GOD knows why he allow things to happen,,I leave you with this what dont kill you will make you stronger, the oil wont leave the olive til the olive has been CRUSHED,,and before we too go to the next level BROKENESS has been Ordained in our journey..Be blessed

Hello:

First of all the Word of God says in Hebrews 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered: So our suffering teaches us obedience. Study the book of Genesis and look at the first three chapters and the answer is right there. Then ask the Holy Spirit to give you a clear understanding about Christ's blood "O" thank God for the blood of his Son Jesus Christ because you should see that no weapon formed against us shall prosper we are covered by the blood(life) of Christ I got to stop right now because I pray that the Holy Spirit leads and guides you faith in Jesus is the key to pain and suffering
no matter what it is Jesus Christ is way way,way powerful then what we go through or face on this earth that he created. God bless, and remember that Christ is our life, and our hope and He connects us to all the agreements made by God himself and God can not lie.

Tara, that's so true and remember what's in the inside of us comes out when we speak. If someone was empty inside than nothing would come out. If someone has Christ inside them and Christ is love than words manifest itself in love. I know this fist hand. I would write before and wondering why people would react to me a certain way and attack me but God had some me the things that were inside of me. I had to mediate on the word so that God could reveal this to me. Sometime he did it thru people.

Eric you truly have the mind of Christ. I am Encouraged in the way you took your time in love to explain what suffering is. One thing i do know is every response that has been given to this blog has shown who has relationship with our father in heaven none of us are perfect but one thing we know is all the glory belongs to God and just because we all say it in different way makes no one any less or the judge on who is right or wrong and what i have read is God has proven himself to be who he said he is and like the brother said the only someone mad is the devil.
