I KNOW THIS IS A TOUCHY SUBJECT, BUT I HAVE TO POSE THIS QUESTION. WHERE DID WE AS BAPTIST BELIEVER'S GET WOMAN SHOULDN'T BE PREACHERS OR PASTORS FROM? I'M INTERESTED IN HEARING FROM BPN ON THIS TOPIC

Here is a text which not traditionally translated to support women preaching, but in it's original reading it does:

Women can be preachers, YES, but according to the scriptures, can the be Bishops, NO!

Continuing my previous message was exclusively regarding "female Bishops" I doubt if anyone here who has studied the Bible refutes the fact that women are Biblically called to preach and teach.

Regarding this issue of women being ordained as or called "Bishops" lets find out as the master would say what let's inquire, regarding what "is written"

1 Tim 3, gives among the qualifications that a Bishop would be of the gender that would have a "wife"
This limits the office of the Bishop to males:

1Ti 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, ***the husband of one wife***, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

Does anyone have a scriptural response to refute this text, that indicates instead that a Bishop could be a female?

AS FOR THE STORY ON PAUL, PAUL WAS ALWAYS MIS-QUOTED & MISINTERPRETED WRONGLY IN THE EARLY CHURCH. PAUL RECEIEVED WORD THAT THE WOMEN WERE ARGUING & CONTENTIONS IN THE CHURCH, ABOUT PERSONAL ISSUES.

THEY WERE INTERRUPTING THE SERVICE, ASKING QUESTIONS THAT SHOULD BE ASKED AT HOME. NOT PREACHING, TEACHING. PAUL STATEMENT WAS TO DECLARE THAT THEY SHOULD DISCUSS MATTERS AT HOME WITH THEIR HUSBANDS,& NOT BRING THEIR ISSUES, DEBATES IN THE CHURCH, "LET A WOMAN BE SILENT IN THE CHURCH", & NOT TO ARGUE, OR TO TRY TOPROVE A POINT ON MATTERS. THESE ARE WRONG INTERPRETATIONS THE CHURCH HAS HAD OF HIS STATEMENTS""1COR 14:34

FOR IF THIS IS THE CASE, REGARDING WOMEN PASTOR, PROPHETS, BISHOPS, THEN WE WOULD HAVE TO ASSUME THAT PAUL IS CRAZY, DOUBLE-MINDED SCHIZOPHRENIC, SAYING ONE THING & AND DOING SOMETHING TOTALLY CONTRARY TO THE WORD, OR HIS TEACHING, GIVEN TO HIM BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. THE EARLY CHURCH APPOINTED WOMEN, PRISCILLA & MANY WOMEN PROPHETS. SUCH AS HULDAH, (2 CHRON 34:22) RULED AND GAVE CLEAR, ACCURATE, JUDGMENTS, A WORD FROM THE LORD. JUST AS WE HAVE IN THIS TIME MANY WOMEN BISHOPS, PROPHETS, THAT ARE TRULY CALLED AND APPOINTED , YET ANOINTED BY GOD, GIVING CLEAR, DISTINCT PROPHECIES, WHILE BLESSING THE BODY OF CHRIST. I KNOW MANY PASTORS MALE WHO HAVE USED & ALLOWED WOMEN TO PREACH AND TEACH.

BUT FOR SOME WHO REJECTAND FIGHT AGIANST WOMEN, THEY NEED THE HOLY GHOST, & A REVELATION OF WHO JESUS IS, A KNOWLEDGE OF THE FATHER, AND TO KNOW HIS MIND. JESUS SAYS IN THE BIBLE, (THAT WORD IS FOR ALL WHO OPERATES IN THE SPIRIT, AND CALLED OF GOD) FOR WHEN YOU SEE ME, (WOMEN ALSO), YOU HAVE SEEN THE FATHER, THE WORK THAT I DO IS FROM THE FATHER. IF ANYONE REJECTS A WOMAN CALLED OF GOD, THAT MAN OR WOMAN HAS NOT YET SEEN THE FATHER, OR TRULY KNOWN HIM.

MEN, RULERS, COMMANDERS, CAME TO HER FOR ADVISE, AND TO JUDGE THEIR CONDITIONS.

SUFFICE IT TO SAY. ALL THAT HAS BEEN SAID, I HAVE EXPERIENCED. WOMEN HAVE A PASSION FOR THE THINGS OF GOD, THEY ALSO PRAY LONG & HARD. THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN SPECIAL ABILITIES IN THE AREAS OF DISCERNMENT,.THEY KNOW THINGS QUICKER, THEY ARE PRONE TO SHARPNESS & KEENESS.

ASK GOD,HE WILL TELL YOU!!!! OR BETER YET,STAY IN THE PRESENCE OF A WOMAN PREACHER LONG ENOUGH, AND YOU WILLFIND OUT JUST THAT GOD HAS CALLED HER.

WOMEN ARE QUICKER AT TIMES & MORE SENSITIVE THAN MEN. SO GOD HAS TO USE A WILLING, A WAILING, WARRING, LIONNESS, A VIGILANT VESSEL, (JEREMIAH9: :17-22) THUS SAITH THE LORD, SEND FOR THE WAILING WOMEN, FOR THE WOMEN, CHILDREN & MEN ARE DYING,SO I NEED WOMEN TO COME AND PRAY, AND WAIL, TO MAKE A CHANGE IN THE REALM OF THE SPIRIT. SEND FOR THE CUNNING, THE MOURINING WOMEN, THAT THEY MAY TAKE UP A MOURNING. WHEN WOMEN PRAY, ZION TRAVAILS. WHEN PRAY & CRY ALOUD, SOMETHINGS HAPPEN, DEMONS TREMBLES!!!!!

I am obviously a female, and I have who extensively studied the scriptures as well as church history from it's inception until today.

We are to "prove all things, hold fast to that which is good"

Study to show yourselves approved. Are female bishops "approved of God" should be the question.

Rather than starting from today with naming "women bishops" that may date back 100 years, let's start with the Apostles, and seek to find when the first woman Bishop was ordained and move forward if you can.

Does anyone have that information?

I can tell you what is recorded in early church documents, that the FIRST FIFTEEN BISHOPS, were Jewish MALES, the first Gentile also male, was ordained after the year 125 A.D. Note the following:

***According to Eusebius' History of the Church 4.5.3-4: the first 15 Bishops of Jerusalem were "of the circumcision". The Romans destroyed the Jewish leadership in Jerusalem in year 135 during the Bar Kokhba Revolt ***

Now I would like to appeal to any female bishops or men who have ordained female bishops who are reading this message, to provide for us the evidence that supports women being Bishops, and where in the Bible or where was the first woman bishop ordained and in what church/denomination.

If you cannot prove this practice of ordaining female bishops is from the Bible or practiced anywhere in the early church, then I appeal to you to correct your error, by ceasing from such ordinations and to put away such titles to which you have no right, usurped from the male gender.

This would be the same as a person or a woman calling themselves a "High Priest". That title goes only to Jewish males in the lineage of Aaron, and to one specifically, today, that title is exclusively applied to Messiah Himself.

Peter and Paul both called themselves servants....
Why aren't there any people on here on BPN calling themselves "Servant So and So..."

Interestingly I see so many extreme titles people have added to their names, yet there is NO BIBLICAL example for it. As a matter of fact, Jesus denounced those who craved titles.

Why are these extreme titles needed? What titles did the apostles take among themselves? Were the apostles called "Reverend" which Biblically is a title used once, reserved to God Himself???

Obviously today as in Israel of old, everyone is doing what is right in their own eyes in this and many other practices...

P.S.
I do not see women Bishops as being Biblical, historical or approved of God. Women should and can be teachers yes, by all means but why must they take the title of Bishop....
