I KNOW THIS IS A TOUCHY SUBJECT, BUT I HAVE TO POSE THIS QUESTION. WHERE DID WE AS BAPTIST BELIEVER'S GET WOMAN SHOULDN'T BE PREACHERS OR PASTORS FROM? I'M INTERESTED IN HEARING FROM BPN ON THIS TOPIC
YOU ALL ARE RIGHT, BUT I FIND THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE BLACK CHURCH HAS NEVER BEEN TO CHURCH BEFORE, AS A RESULT THEY DONT KNOW ABOUT CHURCH ETIQUETTE. SO YOU GET PEOPLE TRYING TO TELL THEM OVER AND OVER AND IT THEY JUST DONT GET IT

Etiquette?? What's that? ...Naw..just joking. People aren't being taught. When I'm teaching the Youth, etiquette is in the lesson. I'm OLD SCHOOL...and I act like Sis. Lucille probably did (Rev. Luckett). I WILL reach out and "TOUCH" a child out of line. The good thing is I don't get any drama from the parents (Probably becuase they know I'll reach out and touch them too...LOL). People don't really know HOW to show respect for the word and God's house. Uhmmmm,,,,,there's another blog topic! CHURCH ETIQUETTE....hmmmm...Rev. Luckett, you want to start that one? (SMILE)
IT IS DIRESPECTFUL,AND A DISTRACTION. YEAH THEY ARE CONVICTED WITH TH HEAD DOWN. I HAVE NOT SEEN THE BAPTIST FINGER IN A LONG TIME THOUGH.PEOPLE JUST GET UP AND WALK DURING SCRIPTURE READING,PRAYER,SERMON,AND THE INVITATION, NO CHURCH ETIQUETTE, BUT DONT YOU REMEMBER THOSE OLD MEAN USHER LADIES THAT WILL MAKE YOU SIT DOWN EVEN IF YOU HAD TO USE THE RESTROOM REAL BAD. THE PROBLEM IS THE USHERS DONE GOT SOFT

Bro. Terrance, the blog is "Too Much Traditional Teaching". I believe I've resolved the "conflict"!
Now, about the "Baptist Finger"..why is it when folks put the finger up, they put their head down? Is that conviction you think? I mean it is disrespectful (to me) for people to be up walking around unnecessarily while the word is being brought forth!
