Would the Saints Like Paul Recognize Your Church IN This Age
As I pondered the state of the church, I could not help but think what it is really all about in todays time!
You Still have a few churches about the Lord's business, however not many!
I admit church attendance is at an all time high and a number of preachers with large congregations are banking millions of dollars. It seems like everyone is living good but, if asked how many have been baptized with the real Holy Ghost, and are keeping the commandments of God, I wonder what the answer would be?
The true church started from the time Jesus was crucified. Fifty weeks after the Lord was put in the ground, 120 men and women abode in an upper room, waiting for the promise. They waited all with one mind, one desire, on one accord until there came from heaven a sound as a rushing mighty wind and filled the whole house. From that one event came forth the beginning of the body of Christ manisfested in a group of people.
Five thousand souls were added to the church that day and they went from from house to house breaking bread and sharing the good news how that Jesus had risen from the grave.
What followed changed the course of mankind forever. Men who had wealth went and sold all their posessions and came and laid them at the servants of God's feet and the scriptures said they had all things in
common.
Men took hold to the Word of God and it spreaqd like wild fire! People were getting saved, delievered, and set free. Devils were being cast out, the Lord was raising the dead through these believers... Powerful acts of God were being manifested through this people!
Malachi 3: 6
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
God is the same and won't change. Men have changed but God has not.
The Church is suppose to be the body of Jesus Christ being made up of people from all over the world:
For as the body is one, and hath many members, so also is Christ.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and all have been made to drink into one Spirit.
For the body is not one member, but many.
Even as it is one body, the faith is also one in Christ's glory to his name.
Ephesians 4:
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism.
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Men have corrupted God's Plan of Salvation with their beliefs and opinipons!
God said in his word his ways are not our ways nor his thoughts our thoughts but as sure as the heavens are higher than the earth so are his ways higher than our ways and his thoughts than our thoughts, Amen.
Men took the church and divided it through denominations.
Jesus said his House shall be called of all nations a House of Prayer.
He also told us to be Holy, he told us to obey all that is written in the book being the Holy Bible.
The fact is, the devil is the author of the division, for Jesus said a house divided against itself cannot stand.
Bishops, and Pastors, and Evangelists, and Apostles have made merchandise out of God's flock! The very scriptures they are supposed to preach and teach witness against them saying:
The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock. (1 Peter 5:2-3)
Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all of them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
Because the church as we know it has taken on the ways of the heathen, it is going to take God to bring a REAL Holy Ghost revival to turn things around. Unrighteousness is not holy, but because all manner of sin is being done in church people are calling it holy.
Some even go to the club on Friday and Saterday then come to church on Sunday like God doesn't care. I, however, read in the scriptures God said to whom you yield yourselves to obey his servant you are to whom you obey.
Revelation 7 says, I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree until the servants of our God are sealed in their foreheads.
It is time for the Latter Rain out pouring of the Holy Ghost
to bring the church to maturity; to perfect the church, to restore it to it's power and authority.
The richest church in the Book of Relevation was the poorest...
And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt.
However the richest church had major problems:
To the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
I will end with this
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
