HI HOW ARE YOU I AM DOING JUST GREAT I WILL BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES AND HIS PRAISES SHALL CONTINUALLY BE IN MY MOUTH.....HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY......

Worship was good. I talked from Luke 5:1-11 from the thought "It's Time For God To Use You"! My points were 1. There has to be obedience to the word of God (Verse 5). 2. There has to be a confession that we failed God (Verse 8). 3. There has to be a commitment to the things of God (Verse 11).
Simon goes back to what he knew after Jesus healed his mother-in law in chapter 4. He went back fishing when Jesus was trying to get him to become a fisher of men. Because Simon went back to what he knew best and even though he fished all night and caught nothing, God took him back to the place where he failed. When God wants to use us for His glory, sometimes He has to take us back to the place where we used to succeed only to allow us to fail. This was not the first time that Jesus was trying to get Simon to become a fisher of men. The fish that they caught was just to show Simon that if he remained obedient that God would give him what he desired. Even when they got to land, they left everything to follow Jesus.
