Whoa! Slow down Anna, I'm not opposing the teaching of proper giving. I TOO HAVEN'T SEEN proper teaching in giving. Actually, we are called by God to do MORE THAN TITHING under the New Testament expectation of the Saints. And there are some clear dictates from scriptures about what should be done with the treasury of the Saints at your local congregation... first, there are no 'regional' 'district' or denominational 'dues' authorized in the scriptures. 1 Cor. 16:1-2 & 2 Cor. 9:6-7 is the place to start...
AT our congregation we are about to go through a year of understanding proper giving and the benefits of doing so... I just found it interesting that you chose THAT particular topic..
