DREAM A BIG DREAM

You probably have a BIG DREAM to pursue, but there may seem to be so many barriers on your way as you journey to get to the top of that dream. These barriers may be material, physical or human and may be spiritual. Many are they that have for one reason or another abandoned their dreams for things they wish they shouldn’t have done or shouldn’t be doing.

Some of those who abandoned their dreams recount their stories either with much regret and grief, or with tears and much longing to be put back where they belong, but it seems to be too late for them.

A personal survey was recently made to find out reasons why people abandoned their one-time admirable and cherished dreams for other things. From the total number of people interviewed, forty-one percent put the blame on poverty for being the major cause of their woes or problems in life. Thirty-two percent said they had to give up their dreams because of the frustrations and discouragements they encountered either through the technical difficulties involved in the pursuance of their dreams or through people.

Nineteen percent pointed out that they are where they are today instead of where they originally dreamt to be simply because friends, relatives and loved ones advised them to make such choices, and for the mere fact that a good number of people seem to be moving in certain directions, the need for them also to advise themselves accordingly.

Five percent said they cannot be specific since there have been so many factors that contributed to their failure, hence, the change of focus. However, three percent of those interviewed admitted that they don’t really seem to have any sure dream or identifiable talent to work on, but are just prepared to do whatever comes their way.

Friend, you need to realize that you are called to fulfill a given destiny even though difficulties, disappointments and financial constraints may show up as you try to pursue your dream or talent. You must fulfill your destiny. Your big dream can happen if only you continue to persevere. Example, my dream is to tell everyone about Jesus Christ concerning His coming and His kingdom (Salvation). Even though I face a lot of difficulty in life of late (in the evangelism field, I need not to abandon my dream. Through the help of the Lord Jesus, it shall happen but I must try to work towards my vision all the time. No matter how hard it is God will make it possible because it is in the plan of God.

Don’t forget that you have a place in this life and a role to play. You are uniquely made by God to accomplish a special task in life that no one else can. Never exchange your dream for anything, and do well to guard against living the rest of your life regretting of the choices you ever made.

Are you a student, a businessperson, an apprentice or a minister of the gospel? Remember that it takes you only to decide how far you can go with your dream in life. You have to make the right choices and expect to achieve the right results through hard work, commitment, determination and persistence.

Are you passionate about something? Do you feel called into a particular ministry by God? Do you really have a dream, a talent or an idea that you want to bring into reality? Are you entertaining some fears or you doubt whether something real or meaningful can come out as you pursue your dream? Listen, the fact is, the road is not easy but you’ve got to know that you are born to win. Choose excellence, not mediocrity (poorness). Have the right mentality and attitude, and see yourself winning always.

Please say this prayer after you read this message:

Lord Jesus, I thank you for revealing this to me, I believe that you have put something special in me that if I am willing to follow your direction, I will clamp up to the top. Jesus teaches me how to go about my dream. It is written in the book of Job 16:3 that "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established". Due to your words let my dreams come to pass in Jesus name. Jesus I want to remind you that you said who ever follow you will never be put to shame. Never put me into shame. May your spirit protect my soul until you come back again to fulfill your Goal or the promise you made to us. Amen
