From Addiction to Anointing

As I write this testimony, my eyes are full of tears because of how grateful I am that
God could save and deliver such a person as myself. You see my testimony is this; I am an ex-drug dealer and ex-drug abuser, you may have noticed I used the word ‘ex’ because “Whom the Son set free is free indeed”. Born in Miami Fla I grew up in a small town in the Northeast corridor of the United States where I graduated high school with various opportunities to go to college on sports scholarships. But, I chose to leave the Northeast and go to the West Coast to attend college. To make a long story short I landed in Los Angeles, Cal.

Needless to say I forgot about college and found myself caught up in a web of sin, cocaine and heroin abuse. I connected myself with people who were involved in a criminal lifestyle namely the Columbian Drug cartel, Haitian Drug lords. I became a drug dealer and traveled all over the country selling drugs. In 1980 I was arrested at Los Angeles Airport for smuggling 20 pounds of marijuana into california. I did no jail time and my drug case was dismissed. I was in a web of sin. But, God still had his hand on my life. Because of my sinful lifestyle I overdosed on heroin 3 times and still lived. I could not understand how God allowed me to escape death. I believe it was the prayers of my mother a woman of God Bernice Howard that kept me alive. I finally realized I needed to change my life. So, in 1986 God Saved and Delivered me at Holy Deliverance Pentecostal Church in Pasadena, Ca under the Apostolic leadership of Prophet Rogers G. DeCuir. God cancelled the plan of satan for my life. The Holy Spirit cleaned me up and turned my addiction into an Anointing.

What a Mighty God we serve. He is the same today, yesterday, and forever more. There is none like Him. God tells us to call upon Him and pray unto Him and He will hear us. Have you ever been in a situation you didn't know how you were coming out of? God was there all the time. In times like these, you must have the Holy Ghost. On your job, in school, certainly in your home. Where ever you go you need the Holy Ghost. God bless you continually.
