Bishop Ronald S. Hobson, Sr.



“ And he gave some (to be) apostles; and some; prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers” (Ephesians 4:11)



Ronald S. Hobson, Sr. is a native of Bellport, New York born to a wonderful virtuous woman of God Geraldine Scott and Henry Hobson on April 6, 1970. He received his education in the South Country Central School District of East Patchogue, New York, and graduate of Bellport Sr. High School. Attended Empire State College, with concentration in Sociology.



On September 4, 1984, he accepted the Lord has his personal savior, and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Much of his spiritual growth and achievements is humbly recognized by the tutelage of his mentor and pastor, Bishop Ralph L. Jefferson, Sr. Pastor of Jefferson Temple Church of God in Christ, Bellport New York. Through this ministry, Minister Hobson held various positions such as: Jr. Deacon, Usher Board member, Choir member, Armorbearer to Pastor for 16 years, President of Y.P.W.W (Young People Willing Workers), Vice President of Men’s Department, Sunday School teacher, Worship leader just to name a few.



November 28, 1988, he was called to the gospel ministry. Understanding the need for spiritual development, Minister Hobson a fond student of Sunday School furthered his learning by attending the O. M. Kelly Bible training Institute, of the Eastern New York Jurisdiction of the Churches of God in Christ, courses of study; General Bible 1&2, Christian Worker, Evangelism. From this experience, he has held various positions on the State and District levels.



He is the Father of Ronald Jr., and Christopher Charles from a previous marriage to much of his success is committed to being a positive influence for his son’s to emulate. In March 1996, entered the United States Army as Tank Mechanic (63-H) receiving an Honorable Discharge.



In August 2000, by the leading of the Lord, Minister Hobson relocated to the Maryland area, where he was directed to start ministry. In May 2001, Mission of Deliverance Worship Center, was formed and services were held in Hanover, MD. Many souls were saved, set free, and delivered. From this experience the Lord directed him to relocate to the heart of Baltimore City, holding services at 3510 Clifton Ave, until March of 2005, we were blessed to occupy 3808 West Forest Park Ave. Endeavoring to please the Lord, Pastor Hobson looked for ways to enhance the Kingdom for Purpose and Destiny.



On December 27, 2003, Apostle W.O. Kinning of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Presiding prelate of Overcoming Church of Deliverance, Inc., Philadelphia, PA, consecrated and ordained Pastor Ronald S. Hobson to the office of Bishop. From this service, Bishop Hobson linked up with Apostle Milton M. Malloy III, of Straight up Christian Outreach Ministries, Philadelphia, PA. Who is our apostolic covering. In the month November 2004, Mission of Deliverance Worship Center was changed, to Unified Faith International Covenant Church & Ministries. Although he has accomplished much in this short time, Bishop Hobson remains committed to preach the gospel until the day is done!



On December 31, 2005, Bishop Hobson married Pastor Darlene Cobb, to this union a spiritual union took place, when Shekinah Glory Apostolic Temple and Unified Faith became one. Bishop Hobson owes much of his success to his wife, who is a thriving force in his life. By the leading of the Lord Bishop and Pastor Hobson opened up their second church Shekinah Glory Deliverance Worship Center, Annapolis, MD.



Bishop Ronald S. Hobson, Sr. is the Presiding Prelate of Preachers United Fellowship, in which the fellowship is not styled as a denomination but an organization to help, assist and aid other end-time ministries to fulfill their mandates implemented by the leading of the Lord.

In December 2007, Recieved Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree, issued by the Abundant Life International Fellowship, Inc., Bible College.


Each round of Bishop Hobson’s life is fulfilling and as he continues to preach this gospel, he is reminded to maintain the course at he gospel plow, continue on the journey as the scripture says “ The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom I shall be afraid” (Psalms 27:1)
