Good God Sunday Morning " Our Father In Heaven"

The Lord's Prayer

These are the words from the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13, taken from the King James Bible (Authorized Version of the scriptures)

9 Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Commentary
Our Father - Makes public to the others ownership, acknowledgement that we know we are no longer along, we are communing together brothers and sisters fellowshipping together in the Lord. We are addressing the Heavenly Father of us all, whether in a assembly or separate, alone
Which art in heaven-This is a given knowledge and our declaration of where our petition is being sent.
Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:9 to address God the Father as "Our Father in heaven".....

"This, then, is how you should pray:” 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name…
Psalm 103:19 tells us that God's throne is in heaven.....
“The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. And where it will be heard”.
In Matthew 23:9, the Lord Jesus Christ told us that God the Father lives in heaven.....
And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.

Throughout the Scriptures God is referred to as the "God of heaven". For example, Nehemiah 1:5 says this.....
Then I said: "O LORD, God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and obey his commands

In conclusion I would encourage my brothers and sisters to let NOT the troubles of this world discourage your prayers for…
2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us that God listens to us from heaven.....
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land”.
