In 1961 I was working in a factory in Årdal. I was a young man on 21 years old. Årdal was far away from my home town of Kristiansund. I would go home because I had a few days off. Fortunately, I got a sit in the car with 2 other friends. When we came to Oppdal, we had no more petrol and we had oil spilt in the engine. The petrol station was closed so we had to sleep in the car. The car was in bad shape, but we filled gasoline and oil and could drive again. So, we came to a mountain that has the name Gråura. Per which was the driver and owner of the car, were fallen asleep behind the wheel and we drove down the road in a speed of about 100 km/h. Bjørn who sat ahead shouted: "Per do you not se the curve?" Per threw the car against the rock wall, but the vehicle went contrary and crashed against the guard stones to the cliff and was hanging with the wheels up on them, with the cliff under us on several 100 meters down to the bottom.
We managed to get us out of the car and on the road, trembling of shock and horror. I was not saved then, but Gods hand rescued us. What I want to tell you with this story is about Gods protecting grace. I was not saved then, but had to go true a number of harsh trials. In 1966 Jesus Christ came to me and he saved me.
