If we would use one sentence to describe Christianity, it could very well be, A Faith of the Book. First, let consider the literate importance of the scriptures to man as recorded in the Bible. We have heard the use of the word Canon of the Scripture. This simply means in its classic sense, That which keeps a thing straight. Again a very good sense of the word would say that Canon of the Scripture applies to anything, which serves to regulate or determine, a guide or a model. In several New Testament passages, we read instructions to the canon. As many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them.(Galatians 6:16). Let us walk by the same rule.(Philippians 3:16). According to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us(II Corinthians 10: 13). When we apply these terms to the Bible, it means that the sacred writing, scriptures, and the Bible itself is accepted by the New Testament as containing the authoritative rule of Faith, Order, principles and practices for us.
Therefore, by the canon of the bible, we declare the thirty-nine (39) books of the Old Testament and the twenty-seven (27) of the New Testament of New Testament were given as the bible says Divinely inspired of God.

The word Doctrine means a teaching or instruction. In relationship to the fundamental truths of the Bible, it refers to the teaching or instruction of the Bible in a systematic form. In this foregoing study, we will establish the science of theology and doctrine, which deals primary with a treatise or reasoned discourse about God. I will use the terms theology and doctrines interchangeably in this topic. The science of doctrines is so-called because science is the systematic and logical arrangement of certified facts. Theology is called a science because it is consists of many facts relating to God and Man. Theology and Doctrine is an orderly, systematic and logical presentation of Divine things. It is a treatment of all things related to God and His Divine purposes. Lets remember, there is a difference in a dogma and a doctrine. A doctrine is Gods revelation of Himself and a truth found in scriptures; whereas a dogma is mans statement of a Bibles truth as set forth in a churchs creed. There can be great differences in a doctrine and a dogma.

Gods plan in the earth is more than a thought, an idea or figment of our imagination. It is a reality working out the conclusion of all things in the earth.
The world in which we live is rapidly changing. New ideas are replacing the old. New standards are preached as the old ones are rejected and looked upon with criticism and dislike. Can the foundation of the Church be destroyed? Are Denominations on its way out? What are the Churchs greatest dangers? Will the present Church in this age fulfill its mission? These questions and more are quite obviously answered by those who understand and see the Church in the same perspective that the bible teaches. The Psalmist says, If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do (Psalms 11:3)? The 'righteous demands a plan and order for existence. We are believers in our Lords purpose, plan, and order for man. The Bible is our guide and map to Gods foundation of ministry. The scriptures attest this in its entirely. We, in the present New Testament Church sustain these facts by practicing its precepts, instructions, and rules based on the apostolic order and practice. We subscribe to the New Testaments church principles and doctrines.
