Dealing with curses in our lives! Part I (tongues)

James 3:8-10, "But the tongue no man can tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless God, the Father; and with it we curse men, who are made in the likeness of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My Brothers (Sisters), these things ought not to be." We must learn how to discern evil that is operating in lur lives, and destroy them. Do you feel like things are out of control, maybe you feel like God is not hearing your prayers? Is there strife in your home, relationship, or ministry? Do you have dark and evil dreams, and foul thoughts? Well all of this is signs of curses! Yes we are santified, filled with the holy spirit, and live good lives, but still there are the signs, the lack, thoughts of lust, or worst, thoughts that come from other sources. Thoughts that we would be ashamed if anyone else knew. Signs of a curse!
When God created the earth and everything in it, all of it was good and perfect in his eyes. But one day Adam and Eve sinned, and that sin brought the curse into the Earth, and upon man and woman. John 10:10, Jesus says,"That he comes to give us life, and that much abundantly!" So why are many of us under the curse and we are not living the abundant life? When Adam siined he brought the curse into the Earht. What is the curse? Loss, strife, destruction and fear! When Adam sinned he gave the keys of kingdom to satan, and satan had the power to curse the children of men. God even warns us in Deuteronomy 28 about how he would bless us for obiedience and curse us for disobiedience. Curses are transmitted four ways to a believer, and they are from words, family generational curses, contaminated objects, and from people under a curse.
1. Words- We must be very careful of the people we listen to and the words we allow into our ear gate. Have you notice when you are in church anf the words are anointed and the music is just right it can lift up your spirit? Well those are positive words bringing a positive uplifting experience. Just the opposite is true too. If you hang aroung people who have foul mouths, and filty conversations, then you will have the same thoughts. We must seperate ourselves from the world, and protect our inner man. Words can even show up in our dreams and cause us to have particular dreams. People that bragg, gossip, lie, flatter and talk to much do not have the spiritual maturity they will need to minister to others. We simply must watch our words and be careful of the words we speak, and the words we allow others to speak over us.

A prayer of healing. Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus. Healed my tongue that I will not use it to glorify the devil. Teach me to only speak those things that are heavenly and of good report. Teach me not to tear down my brothers and sisters, but life them up in prayer. Forgive me of every evil word I Have spoken in error, and wash me clean. I will spend more time praying for others, and praising your Holy name. Thank You Father for healing me and blessing me and now I am curse free in Jesus name. Amen!
