Meditation for the week: 'BE STEADFAST IN PRAYER' COLOSIANS 4:2

Meditation for the week: 'BE STEADFAST IN PRAYER' COLOSIANS 4:2

Apostle Paul encouraged the Colossian Christians to be 'Steadfast' in prayers.
The Dictionary describes the word 'steadfast' as fixed in direction;
steadily directed firm in purpose, resolution, faith, attachment
unwavering, as resolution, faith, adherence. We cannot underestimate the
importance of prayers in our lives as children of God, the bible talks
about Jesus Christ continuing in prayers in Luke 6:12 'And it came to
pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and
continued all night in prayer to God'.Jesus also told us in Luke 18:1,
"Also told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray
and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up). Have you been
praying and waiting on God, be encouraged today to continue in prayers,
don't relent because it appears nothing is happening in the natural,
look at this, if Jesus Christ, the son of God had to continue in
prayers, then we cannot afford to give up or assume our prayers hitherto
are not being heard, the bible says God's ear is not deaf, He can hear
us and His arm is not too short He is able to stretch it out and deliver
us. We need to evaluate our prayer life and cease to complain to God;
many times instead of making our request to God, we just go on and on
about how things are not working, we need to make up our minds to be
firm in purpose and unwavering regarding our prayer life, God is
faithful and able. Be steadfast in prayer; whatever you are trusting God
for, hold on until you see your change come.

HAVE A PRAYERFUL WEEK.
