Are You Part Of The Great Falling Away?

2 Thessalonians 2: 1-12} Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness."

God gave us things to look out for so that we would not be concerned about His coming and our missing it. The falling away is already begun in many senses. The world is trying to get God and everything pertaining to Him out of this world. Also many saints have stopped living for God. They don't go to church, they don't work daily on their salvation, they don't go to church, they are out there doing their own thing and have put God on the back burner. When it's time to stand up for God's truth many coward away and then we wonder why we are losing so many of our rights. It's time to step up to the plate and let our voices be heard. God help them when the rapture happens. God warns us to let nothing or no one deceive us yet many of the saints have already been deceived by the enemy in thinking that they do not need to be in church, they do not need to read or study the Bible to rightly divide. God warned that even the elect would be deceived in the end times. Too many people today have put God on the back burner instead of putting Him first in their lives. Now more than ever we need to keep our faces like flint upon the Lord.


The Antichrist is already on this earth, he is being held back for the proper time when he will take over and defy God and put himself on a throne. He has to do away with the opposition first, which by the way is his plan right now. He is pulling saints away from their walk with God by drawing them away with deceit and the pleasures of this world. He places lies in their thoughts such as: "You don't have to go to church, enjoy life, do something that will bring you pleasure today!" "Why go to church, everyone will reject you anyway." "Why read the Bible, it hasn't done you any good." Whatever works he will use, he knows our weak points and he will go after them. He will even hit the saints with sickness, disease and pain to get them to quit. We need to remember, however, that whatever comes at us, if we are truly connected to the Lord that God promised He would deliver us out of them ALL! There will come a time when the Antichrist will be let loose, but the Master Jesus will be right on his heels to blow him away. We all know what the devil's end is. But what will be the end of those who are complacent and not obeying God's word to truly seek Him with all their hearts and minds? Do they really think they will be in the rapture when it comes? We cannot serve two masters, it's either this world or Jesus. Now is the time to make a decision, not when it's too late.


We need to realize and know our enemy. He is sneaky, wise as a serpent, conniving, and he knows how to lure people who are very shallow in their walk with Christ. The Lord in these days has really been pressing on His people's hearts to get saturated with the word, to develop a very intimate love relationship with Him and yet some still ignore God's call. God is preparing us for coming events and sadly enough many will miss it. God gave us a free will and He will allow us to make wrong choices. The Antichrist will be a very charismatic person who will cause many fake miracles and signs to happen. He knows we are a feely, touchy generation. Sadly many of us are still looking with our natural eyes rather than our spiritual eyes. Since some are so obsessed with evil and the pleasures of this world God will allow them to partake in them and give them what they want. But look out when Judgment comes! Satan is a master of lies and illusions. We need to remember that. It's time to get off the fence folks. In other words, stop putting on foot in the world the one foot in God's Kingdom. Choose one or the other.


Just one other thing that God has been putting on my heart...He does not want us to become so religious and self-righteous that we put ourselves on a throne of being judge and jury. Too often I have heard God's own people condemn, criticize and judge someone. We are not to do that in any way, shape or form. We are to draw people with the unconditional love and acceptance of Christ. We should not be so easily offended by someone's words or actions that we feel the need to take it upon ourselves to point our their faults and put them down. None of us are perfect, we haven't arrived and we need to take the plank out of our eye before we try to take the stick out of someone else's. And I'm paraphrasing here. Let's be concerned and allow God to deal with our own walk and our own faults that way we won't be so focused on others problems. We all have a Holy Spirit, let Him do the job. We don't need to be trying to ''fix'' everything and everyone.


God is looking for serious and steadfast people. Those who will stand firm and persevere in their walk and relationship with God. Those who will clearly hear God's voice and be quick to obey Him. Those who are totally and truly humbled beneath His hand. Are you one of those people? We really need to do a heart search and allow God to fix what needs to be fixed. It's time to clean house church! It's time to get serious and on fire for God. The Lord is moving in amazing ways in our churches, in our lives and in everything that pertains to us. Don't miss out. Get back on track. There is so much power, anointing and blessings on those who do not avoid the gathering of themselves together with the saints. God has a plan and He is about putting it to work. Be steadfast, be obedient and most of all persevere. God is calling many of His people to return. Will you answer that call? I pray you do before it's too late. God bless you.
