Lip Service Or Heart Service?
Matthew 15:8-9} These people draw near Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far away from Me. Uselessly do they worship Me for they teach as doctrines the commands of men.
The Lord really weighed these Scriptures heavy on my heart yesterday. So many of us come to church and we need to be pumped up to praise God. This should not be saints! We should look forward with anticipation to go to church and to enter into God's presence and give Him the praise and worship He is due. Just the fact that Jesus saved us should get us excited to tell Him how much we love Him. Many people today are in the wrong churches and doing what they have been taught by men. They are so involved with programs and men's way of doing things that they leave no room for the Holy Spirit to move or to show them something new. And therefore they become dead churches filled with the walking dead.
Sadly many have religion as a god before their God. What do I mean by this? They follow the rules and regulations put out there by men even if they don't line up with God's word. I didn't know the Lord was going to go this way, but I need to be obedient. It's time for the Body of Christ to speak truth and not what itching ears want to hear. Many people are taught to pray the rosary. Sorry folks, this does not line up with God's word. God's word says there is only one Intercessor between man and God and that is Christ Jesus. Religion has made a god out of Mary when she is simply a vessel used by God as we are. There is nowhere in the Bible where you will find that she was buried or risen up. There is nowhere in the Bible where it says to pray to her. It does say she was blessed because she bore the Savior and was a very humble and obedient servant of the Lord. Sadly, religion has taken this out of context. That is why it's so important to know the word of God. So we won't be deceived by false teachings.
Our church exploded spiritually on Sunday. God let us know that He wanted to take charge and He wanted to be praised. We were obedient and let me tell you the Spirit moved and touched many of God's children. To God be the glory! He is beginning a new move of His Spirit and it will go into next year. It will intensify. The new move is that of praise and worship. The more we enter into this with all our hearts and love on God, and explosion of miracles will take place. God doesn't want us following a program or format anymore. He desires to be in charge so that He can set the captives free. I'm so blessed that I belong to a church who is very open and obedient to the Holy Spirit.
For all you who do not go to church...get connected before it's too late. We are to be jointly fitted together and when you are absent from the corporate anointing the chain is broken. Yet God with all His mercy and lovingkindness will be faithful to those who are faithful. Be sensitive to the Spirit beginning today, be open to believe, receive and obey the leading of the Spirit. God is going to be doing things that we have never seen before and He will leave us in awe!! Who would want to miss that? Only a fool who would rather live in the world than in the Spirit.
Know God's promises, stand on them, believe them. Why? Because then they will come to pass in your lives. That is what my church is teaching in Sunday school and it's awesome. May of us know God's promises but do we truly believe for them in our lives? Let us make an effort today to press into the presence of God and give Him our all. You will be amazed when you come to that higher spiritual level what He will show you in the Spirit. Things we do not know of yet! Praise and worship will defeat the enemy at every turn and bring victory into our lives. It's a powerful weapon. Use it! God bless you. I love you, but Jesus loves you so much more than I ever could.
