IS THE LORD AMONG US OR NOT?

All the congregation of the children of
Israel set out from the Wilderness of Sin
According to the commandment of the Lord
They camped in a place called Rephidim

But there was no water and the people
complained to Moses, give us water to drink
Moses said, “Why do you tempt the Lord?”
Their actions made them downright stink

As the people thirsted for water, against
Moses they constantly complained
“Why did you bring us out of Egypt, to
a place where we get no rain?”

And the Lord told Moses, go before the
people, take some elders, also your rod
You shall strike a rock for water, and
water will come forth said God

All the children of Israel tempted the Lord
by saying “Is the Lord among us or not?”
God showed them yet again, who He is
by having Moses strike the rock

(Ex. 17:1-7)
