RETURNING BACK TO GOD1 SAMUEL 7:3 And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel saying. If ye do return unto the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the Lord, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the philistines.
I was excited about the New Years Eve coming from 2008 going into 2009 and could not wait until I went to Church and got to Church and rushed through the doors and sat down about ten minutes into the service I was vexed and I heard a lot of good words and exaltation from the sacred desk but they were vain words it did not have any substance to it-it did not come from the Heart of God just to say it wasn’t about the ministry I went to, but it is where we are as a people in the body of Christ not every where but I will venture to say most of the body is their. I first examined myself and ask God to forgive me of anything I’ve done but that wasn’t it after the service was over I got in my car and I was vexed in my spirit and I started weeping so hard that I ask God again what is it, is it me, and God said to me which was the Holy Spirit talking to me return unto me and I will return unto you he said come back to me I want your prayer I want your worship. I want to give you your hearts desire but you are to far away from me. Your cry is far away from me. And all that night I weep before the Lord , until morning time and when I woke up it was about eight o’clock ,and I look down at the foot of the bed and my Bible was right their and as I open the bible right to 1Samuel 7:3 and that’s when the Lord starting talking to me about where the body was and he told me to minister this everywhere I went so that it would bring the conviction back to the house of God and that the fear of the Lord would come back to the house of God and also that the reverence would once again manifest in the house of God. The bible says seek me while I may be fond if you go after God he will come to where you are, make a point of chasing him and going after him let him know how much you love him sing to him, romance him think about him continually through out your day ponder the things he gives you out of his word think on those things write his word on your heart that you don’t sin against him the bible says heaven and earth shall pass away but the word is ever lasting. let those things that brought distraction go what’s more important to you things or your soul, if we don’t pay attention we could pay a big price, God loves us so much it is because of Gods grace and mercy that has kept us this far he cares what happens to us and what state of mind we are in, he is that concern (Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you , saith the lord thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.) do you know we have an expected end that means there is a story and the ending is going to be a good one.( Jeremiah 1:5 before I formed thee in the belly I Knew thee and before thou camest forth out of the Womb I Sanctified thee,) God said that he knew you before your mother even conceived you he knew how much you weighed and what color was your hair was and what your name was going to be and if you were a pastor or prophet or teacher etc. that’s why we are not prospering and having favor with man and getting those things we want it’s time to turn down your plate and stay at his feet of Jesus the bible talks about two women in Luke 10:38, one was Martha she was so busy doing and helping out people and cooking the bible says that her spirit was cumbered with much serving is careful and troubled about many things and that word cumbered with means (distracted with) and where we are as a body there are sod many distraction and the more we yield to those things that take away from God the farther his presence is don’t have this spirit keep a balance. and that’s nice but all her time was in the things her relationship with God was weak and she tried to tell Jesus that Mary was not helping her but Jesus said leave her alone but Mary sat at the feet Jesus and heard his word and she had chosen the good part the one thing needful our strength our deliverance and healing comes directly from sitting at the feet of Jesus to learn true worship we must on a daily basis soak in his presence and wait on God and what he want to impart into us that’s what Mary did you didn’t let the cares of this world distract from the most important things in ( Matthew 6:33 the Bible says seek ye first the kingdom of God and his rightness and all theses things shall be added unto thee) for every thing that we need or want is in the seeking also put him first before going to your friends, God is saying throw down your strange God. Idol worship is what it is called. when you think of an Idol the smith’s Bible dictionary say (IDOL- MEANS AN IMAGE OR ANYTHING USED AS AN OBJECT OF WORSHIP IN PLACE OF THE TRUE GOD.) idols what is in your life that if God took it away would it shut your mouth or would it stop your praise or would you stop serving the almighty God, what are you serving and what kind of control does it have over you do your children ,or your husband ,or your wife ,or your money, or business, your ministry, or people that have an influence in your life to that degree that it takes priority over God. Take a moment and see what you are putting on the throne instead of God. God wants your heart today he wants you to put him back on the throne.
HOW DO WE RETURN BACK TO GOD
1. REPENTANCE- what does repentance mean- after thought, change of mind and is used , of repentance from sin or evil. a turning from those things that kept you bond or in chains those things that kept you going around in circle fornicating, adultery, Greed wanting more than what you have. Your husbands or wife worshipping them in stead of God or children etc. It says in (1 John 1:8, 9 If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned we make him a liar and his word is not in us.) if we confess to God he will forgive us and remember that sin no more, but it is throwing down those things that causes sin that have become weights to us when you have something that is heavy it is hard to deal or carry it and those sins are shameful to us but we serve a God that doesn’t throw things in our faces once we acknowledge our wrong to him he covers us with love for in (John 3:16 for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish. But have everlasting life. God sent Jesus his only son to die for us to take away hurts depression sickness and cover our sin.( James 4:8 says draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you cleanse your hands ye sinners and purify your hearts ye double minded.) God doesn’t want us be torn between to opinions God does not want us serving too Gods. God said I will have no other god before me because he is a jealous God and he means what he says (Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters for either he will hate the one, and love the other or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.) make up your mind and turn back to come back to your first love. And give up your strange God and be reconciled back to God and feel his presence and walk in his will once again people of God.
