“Leadership is not for babies”. What we must understand is that a leader must be one who is experienced and mature I am not speaking about age; one who is decisive and takes action. As leader we must have vision and insight and must be proactive which of course is an imperative to take any organization forward.

Now more than ever leadership much be about accountability. A leader must be accountable and must be held accountable for his action by others. I’ve learnt over my 22 years in ministry that Creditability follows accountability which builds transparency and trustworthiness.

These are key characteristics that are noticeably missing in some of our leadership today.Which are must for each of us to develop. Leaders should be humble in giving and received correction, but they should not be afraid to speak up on issues. Weak leadership is an open door for invasion of any kind. An example of weak leadership is found in judges, there were deliverance without governance. Thus, they got caught in a cycle.

An improper representation of the required standards will create problems within any assembly or organisation.
