1 Corinthians 5:9-13.... I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

I am on about 50 different networks and I have noticed that no one wants to follow this Corinthians scripture anymore. I have been in many of churches and have heard the Pastors even complain about fornication running wild in their churches, and won't do anything about it. They won't even preach against the sin, but then complain about 60% of their members being fornicators.

So, I want to ask you should we just toss this passage of scripture? When should we implement this scripture? When the church is at 30%, 40%, 50% practicing fornicators and homosexuals?

"...Then again I remember going to a couple that were living together for several years and asked them why. Well we are both married to someone else and evidently had gone past the point of no return. We are trying to get our divorce and as soon as we get it we will be married. i spoke to the pastor. fritz I said, this couple should split up and i told that to them He can live with one of the guys in the church and she can live with one of the ladies and they can help each other as each lady had 2 kids. listen steve, he said. At least they are hearing the Word of God. It is better for them to be here than back doing crack. Well what happened is sad. A year later they both got their divorce and Fritz married them...."

Thats a travesty.
O that the pastors and elders of God's flock would take heed.
I dont know why the pastors and elders of the churches refuse to judge and discipline those in the Body.
The Lord not only ALLOWS them to do it but He INSTRUCTS them to do it.
And it's only for the betterment of the Body.

They think its being super spiritual by not judging and discipling the wayward members...but a little leaven, leaveneth the whole lump.

I cant see the Lord looking kindly on this.
Boy I tell you, to get a Pastor or any church leader to do what's in this scripture, the Lord will have to beat some over the head. If we started expelling the gays and fornicators, you wouldn't have any members left.
Well at the risk of being called out on my spiritual vocation, by lil bro Trevor(lol) let me say, again I think ones get confused with the "church building" and the Body of Christ.

It excites my heart to see prostitutes, gays, fornicaters, as well as backbiters, gossipers, liers and the contrite, come to the "church building" now if the pastors you guys speak of our allowing ALL OF THESE to be participants as leaders and have recoginition as belonging to the Body of Christ, that of course is wrong. Being an Evangelist, I come in contact with diverse groups of people. I'm not so quick to give up on ones, who are struggling with sins.

So and ROG with respect when I see or hear "Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person." I always wonder if longsuffering has ever came into the picture, I do agree that the Word MUST be preached and if conforming to the word is being faught openly, that person should be told they are no longer welcomed in the fellowship, I have to say my pastor does not tolerate sin of any kind. Not even individuals "throwing tantrums" because sometimes it's the LITTLE FOXES that have the more powerful strongholds on one AND THEY ARE RARELY ADDRESSED.

So in answer to your question, no we don't throw any scripture out, but we are be wise as serpents, so as not to have ones blood on our hands when we go to judgement, remember we all have sin, I love Paul's statement, some of us were the chief of sinners in our own right.
YOU KNOW I WAS COMING!!!! Even BEFORE I seen your comment I thought about you in this one! LOL!!!!!

For the sake of saying it, "SPOKEN LIKE A TRUE EVANGELIST!"

The reasons why the Church doesn't execute this scripture are simple:

Tolerance- The question has to come into the picture "how long should we have long-suffering?" I am a man of mercy, but I am also a realist due to my ministry calling. There comes a time when you just gotta say "thats it, JUDGMENT TIME!"

Manpower/Ignorance- The people who are authorized/qualified biblically to carry out such judgments are often ignored, suppressed or attacked for doing their job due to ignorance: Apostles & Prophets. In Acts 8, Apostle Peter had to do what Philip the Evangelist wouldn't/couldn't do. He had to declare Simon the sorcerer unsaved and tell him straight up that he was going to perish with his money due to not having the HOLY SPIRIT. Would the Evangelist do that? No, because they aren't called for such work. They are called to save the lost. Does these conflict with each other? No, they aren't supposed to. The reason why they shouldn't is because the Apostle is to take the lead position, NOT the Evangelist, or the Pastor, or anyone else. It conflicts when the Evangelistic speaks up, undermining the Apostolic decree of righteous judgment.

We often toss the "judge not lest ye be judged" scripture in the face of those who actually have the right to judge.
OK, I'll do that kind sir. Matthew 7 is the source of the saying "judge not lest ye be judged". Unfortunately, those that run to it for defense ignore the REST of the saying:

Matthew 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

This coincided with scriptures like 1 Corinthians 6:1-5.
Well Amen, Trevor, everyone that brings judgement on someone is not a hypocrite
-No place in the Bible did it give the indication that the office of Apostle or Prophet ended, or even would end even after the LORD JESUS comes back, however there are SEVERAL places that give clear indication that these two offices have been open, and will continue to last even until eternity.

-No other office in the Bible was ever given such authority before. Not the Teacher, Pastor or Evangelist. The CLOSEST to it was the Pastor, and even they are under the authority of the Apostle. Pastors, synonymous with the original form of the Bishopric, were never declared defenders of the faith, but Apostles & Prophets have been shown consistently to be.

-No other office truly has the heart to carry it generally speaking, though such is not always the case with individuals in such offices.

-The Evangelist was never given spiritual authority over the Church, and likewise, by the very nature of their calling, do not often show the type of sternness needed to command, lead, and punish accordingly.

-The Bishopric was not declared to do such, it was the Apostle. Most claim this due to reading the letters to Timothy and Titus, erroneously declaring them to just being Bishops. Apostle Paul, however, has declared these two young men to be Apostles, not just Bishops, Titus called an Apostle clearly in 2nd Corinthians 8:23, Timothy in 1st Thessalonians 2 (Paul speaking here of Timothy, Silas/Silvanus, and himself). They were sent to ordain Elders (Bishops and Pastors) and set order in the Church, with rebuke if need, be as Apostles, not Bishops.

-No one man can possess all the authority that is spread out and divided evenly by GOD through CHRIST, not even an Apostle or Prophet. There are some apostles who say that they can walk in all five offices. I disagree with such for certain reasons. The Pastoral position is limited if it does not submit to and understand the Apostolic & Prophetic anointing/authority. To declare that the Bishop or Pastor is automatically the "Prophet of the house is error", because no scripture ever declared this.

I need not really even argue that there are Apostles and Prophets, because their ministry speaks for itself. All it takes is for one to just look study and compare to see it present today not only overseas in the 3rd world countries where they actually believe and have faith because faith is all they have, but even on American shores (EVEN in NYC streets). To recognize it though, you have to be willing to study it as openly as you studied the ministry of the LORD JESUS Himself, because it starts with Him and ends with Him, according to the FATHER's decree.
Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?

And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?
I agree with all of u.
Amen, I like what I’m hearing from everyone. We are to use wisdom when we make this judgment call. I agree, It is a joy to see any sinner come into the church and repent and give their life to God, and we cannot allow an unrepentant person come into the church, join and continue his sinful practices in the church. I think this is what the Apostle is referring too.

Over the years I have seen basically two types of people in the church (Assemblies) those that are God's true people and those that are not. Those that are God's people, He will personally deal with them and chastise them, and bring them under the rod of correction. These have the chastisement of the Lord to prove that they are his sons indeed, but those who are without chastisement are bastards. They are not his children and this is why they can come in the church and continue to live in sin and not feel convicted. We are told not to fellowship with them but cast them out from among us.

I know how everyone of you feel, some of you are Evangelist, Preachers and Pastors. And you know these people have a soul and they have no hope out there in the world. You know they will perish if they do not take heed to the word of God. But even if they stay in the church (Assembly) un-repented they will still perish anyway.

Thanks for your response
Amen Minister Warren! That was well spoken.
