No, No I did not ask if a demon can inhabit a human, the Bible is very clear on that. My question to all of you is can a demon take on the shape, form, likeness of a human. If so where can I one fine it, in the word of God. As for "satans disciples" I live in Houston and I've known about them for over 20 or more years. Now you present a contradiction when you say that "God gave up dominion in the earth. and yet say that Gods got it all under control." Here is a very good question do you believe in the Sovereignty of God? I have to go class is starting I get back to this in the morning.
Pastor Rodrick,

I'mma try this again (I'd typed out a few sentences and somhow lost it).

Your question is excellent. God is sovereign. Yet he also gave dominion over this earth to man. God also has bound himself to his word and cannot go back on his word. He has humbled and submitted himself to his word. There are some things in his sovereignty God has established that we cannot touch. There are other things in his sovereign delegation of authority that only we can touch, in earth.

I made the statement "God is in control" as a mockery of what I hear said by meaning saints who lack understanding of manifestations of ground level spiritual warfare. The enemy ravages families, neighborhoods, cities, nations. Yet, saints (because we havent taught or equipped them) say they are waiting on God, when God has given them authority and dominion to deal with things victoriously.

Hope thats clearer
pastor Rodrick,

have you read both these books, or do you quote from review material on bn.com?

I have not read the da Vinci code so I cant comment on that. I am acquainted (unfortunately) on how demons infiltrate the church and common systems in our everyday life, of which the church, again, is one. If you understand spiritual warfare, you would understand what I wrote above. I stand by it. With due respect, if you dont think results of demon activity are manifested, powerful and pervasive then you dont know because demons of unbelief may influence you. Demons are powerful but The Almighty is All Powerfull. Praise the Lord of Hosts!

I cant attest to veracity of Lillith orgins, but Ive learned enough to accept that lots of times what we call mythical creatures can be traced to fallen angels who did procreate with mortals. So, you tell me. is this Lillith simply a figment of someones' overactive imagination? Early in my ministry walk I used to think in strictly black and white pastor Rodrick. Ive since learned differently and this has more to do with wisdom and nothing to do with compromise. Im convinced none of monopolizes the market on truth. We all only see in part ... blessings to you too
Pastor Rod,

" the Bible knows nothing of Demons taking human bodies. Be careful how your interpertation..."

really? maybe you should dig deeper, and if you're like me you can take your own advice too pastor
Okay, I'm back not....So you think that a demon can take the form, shape or likness of man. Please show me that book, chapter, verse. This is a very different question from that of " a person be under demon possession (very clear from scripture)." Also only the non-Christian can truly be under demon possession! (Check the Bible on that!) The believer can only be influenced. Now you stated "With due respect, if you dont think results of demon activity are manifested, powerful and pervasive then you dont know because demons of unbelief may influence you." Because I don't follow your teaching which may be wrong! With all due respect!, I must be under the control of a demon! Ha, Ha, Ha, That's sound like a person that just can understand the use of hermenutics to study the bible. Lets be real just because I do not view the it your way does not mean or make my out to be a person under some thing. It may be that I have and understand that you do not!
no problemo....
Be blessed and keep studying the Word!
u too man of God
I had asked a question about the Queen of Heaven in another discussion

Who is the Queen of Heaven

When I asked my teacher about it yesterday, she told me to do a Bible History search on that name because Israel use to worship her and was punished because of it. What is interesting is what I discovered. Look at this:

"Known by many names, across time and space, Lilith or Eve, Anath and Asherah, Astarte, the Queen of Heaven, the Shekhinah and the Matronit.... No matter Her name, she was loved."

Encyclopedia Britannica:
"Through her identification with the Greek Aphrodite and the Roman Venus, Inanna-Ishtar, the queen of heaven, still survives in Roman Catholic iconography - e.g., as the Virgin Mary standing on the moon."

Dictionary of Phrase and Fable, 1894:
"Queen of Heaven with the ancient Phoenicians, was Astarte; Greeks, Hera; Romans, Juno; Trivia, Hecate, Diana, the Egyptian Isis, etc., were all so called; but with the Roman Catholics it is the Virgin Mary."

Jeremiah 7:17 Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?
20 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

Jeremiah 44:13-28
13 For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:
14 So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.
15 Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,
16 As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.
17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
18 But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.
19 And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?
20 Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,
21 The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind?
22 So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.
23 Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.
24 Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:
25 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
26 Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.
27 Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.
28 Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.

It seems we may be discussing the same "god" -- Lilith / Queen of Heaven

(A god by any other name would be Baalim/gods?)
Hi Tracy, oh, I used to speak on this extensively on another site. The Queen of Heaven is compacted into one statement by Jeremiah to insult the whole of the 'goddess' concept. You know, history shows that the 'goddess' was worshipped worldwide. Now, what that means is. the fallen angels forces screwed with humanity big time.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremiah

Don't get the Bible wrong, there are masculine and feminine principles out of which our Heavenly Father made the Earth. Afterall, Scripture itself describes the Earth as 'she' who opened 'her' mouth and helped the woman (Rev. 12).

Yet, Romans 1 tells us that humanity worshipped the 'creation.' The Earth is the creation instead of the Creator. 'The Queen of Heaven' are many in the form of the various goddesses you named and the Bible names (Judg. 1) i.e. Tammuz was a female deity.

The calf, so named by the Egyptians as Hathor I think it was, was justly insulted by the prophet of Exodus in that it is only referred to as the 'golden calf'. Again, that was purposely done by God speaking through Moses as God would not dignify their existence for as the Bible teaches, 'all who worship them are in reality worshipping demons' i.e. fallen angels.

I got to tell you though, I'm glad the saints are bold enough to take on the opposition to truth i.e. the various 'lilith/queen of heaven' demonic madness.

Christ has defeated this fallen ilk who continues to deceive. It is up to the saints to become knowledgeable on the matter in order to destroy the works of the devil.
To all that have participated thank you so much, there is good information in this post, Thank you Rev. Sweet
Your welcome, Hope that it helps. I'm currently studing the Queen of Heaven question check back be weeks end. Be blessed!
