Why do most single people believe they haven't found their Soul Mate?

A Soul Mate is someone of the opposite sex to whom you feel deeply connected with. Someone you have great compatibility with and with whom you have a great spiritual, soul (mental), and physical attraction to. Someone when you look at and its like youre looking at a mirror image of yourself and to this person you want to make a lifetime commitment with. And the feeling is mutual with both individuals. Hello Evangelist Fugett, yes you are so right in affirming that Christ Jesus is the one that you want to see in the mirror. However, I have been blessed to find my good thing as the scripture refers to a virtuous woman. Proverbs 18:22 Yes compatibility with him is #1 but surely compatibility with the one you're in a relationship with is vital. Sometimes we as Christians are so heavenly minded we're no earthly good and we end up making mistakes in relationships because we will not use the word of God and good common sense. Remember, "The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit." Proverbs 14:8 You are blessed my sister to be a blessing. Pass it on!!!!!

Brother Jones, I understand the expression "Soul Mate" but I wonder if that is accurate to what we are supposed to have and to what we are supposed to be. I believe we are to be one with our mate first, spiritually, and then emotionally, mentally and physically. This is just a thought: A soul mate is only soul deep. I prefer a “Spirit Mate” for it is with a Spirit mate that we become ONE. Soul deep is not really deep enough for Christians. Just a thought

Hello Rev. Winn, very good analysis and thank you so kindly for it. In my definition of a Soul Mate as you accurately say, we are to be first, spiritually and then emotionally, mentally and physically, my definition of a Soul Mate also describes it in that order. However, in the book 3 John 2 the Apostle writes, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy SOUL PROSPER." If you will notice the emphasis is not on prosperity or health but EVEN AS YOUR SOUL PROSPER. When the soul prosper then every thing else prospers, and what is the prosperity of the soul, the prosperity of the mind (the battlefield), the emotions, the will and the intellect. Without a prosperous soul you can be full of the Spirit of God yet still walk around with an unrenewed mind. So therefore be ye transformed ( metamorphesis) by the renewing of your mind. Soul Mate makes spirit mate and spiritual compatibility does not guarantee soul compatibility. Thank you very much Rev. Winn for such an awesome thought.
