1. Why do churches still preach tradition and not the true Word (The Gospel)?

2. Why do Pastors/Leaders change scriptures to suite their own purpose?

1) Because its convenient. Its difficult to go against the traditions of your Elders when GOD told you (or, at least you thought GOD told you) that your Elders were anointed. Consider the fact that leaders are anointed, but they are human, then take in mind that I have been indoctrinated for most of their Christian lives to trust just about everything that they say. Are you telling me now that they were wrong?!?!? Now that I'm a leader myself, thats a difficult thing to grasp and handle, let alone correct.

Nevertheless, GOD has given them the authority, power and grace to do so. Its up to the individual Teacher now.

2) Ask them!
Sister the whole world is wicked, and believe that God has forsaken the Earth.
GOD has forsaken the Earth?? Where did you get that idea from Hez?
Trevor,

You are so correct. This is my season of transitioning from the traditional Baptist church to wherever God is leading me. As a leader/teacher in my church, it is becoming a fierce battle within me to continue teaching in the manner of what is expected of me as one of the Bible study teachers, and knowing that I am held accountable to God for what I teach His people.
It comes to that point Chaplain. I love the Baptists, but truth be told, there is much compromise within Baptist doctrine. They used such doctrine to guard from Roman Catholic heresy, but at the same time, blocked out the voice of the HOLY SPIRIT.

(NOTE: I ONLY MENTIONED THE BAPTISTS BECAUSE CHAPLAIN HARRIS IS BAPTIST. THERE ARE FLAWS WITHIN EACH AND EVERY DENOMINATION THAT CAN EASILY BE POINTED OUT. MY OWN MINISTRY MAYBE NO DIFFERENT.)
Great Questions, there is no perfect church or denominaton, or non- denomination. The problem is vey simple WE do not prayerfully read and study the Bible for OURSELVES. Therefore we are Easily led astray, also we do not listen to the guidences of the Holy Ghost.
Good points Pastor Valentine.

While I do admire and respect my pastor and church family, I am careful to remain respectful and to operate within my local church in an orderly manner. God will either bring change within this local church or He will move me. Either way, it will give God the glory.
