Today there is the ugly cloud, called THE RECESSION glooming over everyone, the world and saints. In this day in time, should the body of Christ ask for government grants to help fund church ministry? As Saints are we even supposed to be concerened about the recession or concerned about the harvest we are reaping due to the seed we sewn? The crookedness of the government, the President looked at as our "Savior" all these things play apart in my question on government funding. Let me know what you think!

As being a pastor I feel that it’s okay for churches to get grants, as long as it is use for that purpose only. There is a lot of Pastor, Teacher etc. that has been giving vision by God but they cannot pursue it financially. This is a great way to do so through grants as long as it is use for that purpose only....
i think we will be worst Spiritually after taking satan's money.
we are doing bad enogh
I don't want to start a spiritual argument on this subject, but I don't see anything wrong with the church getting a hand from the government. As long as the church uses the money for its purposes only. Don't buy anything that is for a personal use, then you can see that being used in a ungodly fashion. I believe God works in mysterious ways. He can use anybody (including the devil) the help God's children. The bible declares that He will make our enemies our footstools. So if God allows or permits the government to give the church grants, then why not use it. Yes the recession hit everybody hard, but I just believe that He wants us to rise above the recession. I'm not ashamed to ask or to receive help from the Lord.
I have not seen that cloud. My Lord is not a welfare God. Is He Lord over your church. 2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Humble is the key here. If the government need something let them come to the church. They are welcome to sow a seed. The Kingdom of God does not need welfare.
