Is is right for a Prophet to ask or take money after they have phophesied to someone? Whether from a believer or non-believer?

"Can anyone picture Christ receiving a paycheck? Or driving a Beamer, Or giving a sermon, and then tellin the people to "please put a little extra in the offering plate today? ....No you can't, because it's not in you...not from the spirit and you know it! Picture this, Christ raising Lazarus, everyones astounded...and then he says - Ok, before I go, let us take up a collection for the greatness of Gods miracles on this house today. No...you can't right...cause it's not of the spirit...anyway you wanna look at it...If your a true child of God you feel "convicted'...and that - is of the spirit!

In bible times it was common to bring a prophet a gift:

When they came to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, "Come, and let us return, or else my father will cease to be concerned about the donkeys and will become anxious for us." He said to him, "Behold now, there is a man of God in this city, and the man is held in honor; all that he says surely comes true. Now let us go there, perhaps he can tell us about our journey on which we have set out." Then Saul said to his servant, "But behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man? For the bread is gone from our sack and there is no present to bring to the man of God. What do we have?" The servant answered Saul again and said, "Behold, I have in my hand a fourth of a shekel of silver; I will give it to the man of God and he will tell us our way." [1 Samuel 9:5-8]

yes I see...they wanted or "wished to give the prophet a gift" ... but what if they had no gift? And the prophet requested money in return for his word?

But what is called "a gift" in the scripture could easily be thought of as payment or remuneration. And prophets like Samuel apparently accepted these gifts to support themselves. But, I would agree, it is unseemly the way modern prophets seem to spend so much time and effort shilling or begging for money. Prophets of old seem to trust God would make a way... Elisha even refused gifts (like he did when Naaman offered him presents in 1 Kings 5).

No problem in receiving the gift, but when it is demanded then it is out of line.

I agree with that, it seems like nowadays its expected...
