God bless you! Good topic! What I strive to continue to walk out with my wife in our house is that a husband should operate in five arenas:

1. Priest (he should be able to make effective intercession on behalf of the house, in agreement with his wife, and see tangible and manifested results)
2. Prophet (he should have the tongue of the learned, seasoned wisdom, and be able to effectively communicate the mind, will and purposes of God to the house that he leads. As did Adam with Eve when she operated in error in the garden, he still had the ability to speak life and call her LIFE, to bring forth life in the earth, even though she made a mistake, thus the name "Eve" means "Life".)
3. Provider (he should be able to provide resources, stability and a foundation to the house...once he lays the foundation through the Spirit, then the wise woman builds (guides) the house upon the foundation built)
4. Protector (through his position in God and favor with God, he should be able to provide protection for the house; warning against coming danger, and keeping the house intact)
5. Promise Keeper (He must first understand the covenants with God and value them, and then understand his covenant with his wife and value that....if he cannot value and operate in integrity with his covenants with God, how then shall he be integral with his wife and household?)
WOW! The five "P's" of a Godly man. This is powerful! Thank you for a being Godly example that God's word can be manifested in the body of Christ in 2008.
I've begun a new discussion "What is love, really?" I'd like to hear your feedback!
Very good discussion. When I thought about the question and really did not have to think long. Immediately I said within God is love, and the only way to know love is to really know Jesus. I just recently learned that, and I'm 38 been a Christian for many years and what I thought love was really wasn't. I thought love was a feeling, I found out that love really is I Corinthian 13.

1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Love is giving your ALL to Jesus. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he "gave" his only begotten Son,.. God gave us his all and we must give him all that we have. When I began to practice I Corinthians 13 I began to give love, I began to see people as lovely. People started seeing me as being lovely and radiant.

Please pray that I will always walk in love.
Thanks for your response. Your precious spirit radiates through your writing!
A very simple answer, yet so hard to obtain.
This is a very good point.....I recently found out that I really didn't love God like I thought I did...I just really really LIKED God, but not LOVED God, and I had to be honest with myself and the Lord. If we love Him, we will keep his commandments...period. So we take 1 Corinthians 13 and let it manifest in us so we can advance in our love walk.
My, my... You better say it . You know we could on and on about God's love; and we really should because the church have lost it's first love. We as Christians have taken on the worlds way of love , and we're failing every day.
Falling in love with Jesus is the best thing I've ever done.

I wonder how many would come to a conference on this topic?
And that's a good point....who would come to a Love 2008 Conference? I was talking to a Pastor earlier this evening about how the next hunger that some will experience, or have already experienced, is the hunger that takes us back to the basic principles of living in Christ. Not to say we should give revelation for elementary doctrine, but experience revelation in basic principles.
This is my prayer to myself and the body of Christ.

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21
I agree with Sis. Sally about this...the word spells it our just as clearly....and to add to that, Jesus said that your love is made evident if (not when), but IF you keep His commandments...in other words, "if" being a conditional word, Jesus says that when the conditions (whether favorable or unfavorable) meet His will, commandments, and purpose, your decision(s) to adapt yourself to His word shouldn't become conditional (I want to do the Lord's will, BUT, or I want to live right, BUT)......
Sis. Sally, thanks for the comment. I just believe that when we as men of God will align ourselves and positions ourselves for the next shift, we'll see change, even at the home.
