Remember when you first started in the ministry. everything seems so cut and dry. You new that your calling was ure. It was nice. Doing the work of the Lord, feeling the power of the annointing when you spoke. Knowing that God was speaking through you. You had challenges but this only forced you to pray more and to seek His face. The staages missionary, evangelist, minister. Then you move up to elder and everything changes. Suddenly you are taking on more responsibility than you ever have. You plan programs, make contacts, put announcements on the radio and tv. You make sure guests are comfortable that come to bring the Word of Life. Lately I have noticed something else - Pulpit Predators. Men and women o the gospel that Abuse their athority. They become a little to god-like. Whatever they say goes because they are Apostes,Overseers,Bishops, etc. Some say things to belittle people and keep them in place. What happens when someone pushes back? Yes, there is supposed to be respect there, bu name calling, downing other Pastors, saying that unless ministers are a carbon copy they won't make it. Pastors and the like do not call these people to settle in to learn from those above their level. I feel that most people that look to be a part of ministry have an earnest desire to work for God but, when they are beaten down, insulted, made fun of-then it is almost like a betrayal. I have worked with people that tell me everyone's short coming and turn right around and ask them to guest minister at their church. I 'm just a Pastor but when an Apostle acts like this it vexes my spirit. When the higher ups don't practice what they preach we are letting their rank say how things flow. God' house is sacred-no gossips, verbal abusers have place here. I even heard one Apostle say they would tell other ministries not to welcome some people in because they did not get along with them. My question is where do they go then with broken spirit, confusion, they question whether or not they are any use to the Kingdom. I've evn seen one go to a mental facility under the pressure as minister. What does the bible say about these things? The higher you go the more compassion, understanding, love and caring should be portrayed. You can not use verbal abuse to scare people. Then your members don't love you*but fear you. But when you deal with people coming in from the street, alley, abusive situations, financial hardships, abandonment they can not take but so much more before something snaps. I hve had many conversations with members of other churches where this is going on. The pstors seem ok with it. It is not ok but what can be done? I'm cncerned because I see so much potential that hasnow turned into doubt in some of them. Do you have any suggestions? thanks Prophetess Pastor T

John 17:21 May they all be one! Even as you, Father, are in me and I am in you, so let them be in us, so that all men may come to have faith that you sent me.

Joh 17:23 I in them, and you in me, so that they may be made completely one, and so that it may become clear to all men that you have sent me and that they are loved by you as I am loved by you.

It is sad that many ministers(servants- called to serve) have become lords, some with warped thinking, think that they are there to be served. Many others think that ministry is about outdoing the others and have thought the calling was for them because God couldn't do much without them. I am using these strong words because I am talking to people who are supposedly able to chew bones and have been weaned from spiritual milk.

These type of ministers like in a past comment on the same network many lac accountability and the same attitude/spirit has spilled over into their congregations. The flock any minister will hold shall mimic, ape and become what their shepherd is. What we are in the secret shall be revealed on our pulpits and in turn our congregations shall over time become what we are.

This can be a sad and pathetic situation for the church/congregation inclined on vices compared to virtues. But Christ set for us an example through the unity he revealed with the Father. He even prayed for us That we may be one even as he and the father are ONE. The church fails and falters when we do not seek to glorify the father but for selfish reasons are inclined to such ungodliness.

Matthew 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings out good things; and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings out evil things. 36 But I say to you that every idle word, whatever men may speak, they shall give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.
This happens when the things of the world are brought into the ministry. This is how people behave in the secular world and they have been so used to acting that way that they can''t make the transition when it comes to the things of God. This is why I walk talk and portray my christian life at home on the job, at the mall , grocery store and church. We all are only growing to know the Lord as Daddy and His Son and our personal Lord and Savior and His Holy Spirit as our Guide and consult.... It is a life long process. As we draw nigh unto Him He draws nigh unto us. The more we are in His Holy Presence the more annointed we are and abuse, manipulation, gossip is not of God ... it is of the flesh, unholy, and satanic. In His Presence is where we must be.... Before the throne... I want more of you Lord.Halleluyah!! Thank You Jesus!!!!
when arguing is goning on in the church somebody is not let God be charge. Now day people are looking for excuses why they don't want to come up inthe word of God.I hate that there are people at your church because of you and Not God. We God's people have to endure hardness has a good soldier and stop wanting everybody to know we are going through or just don't agree with thing. We get growing pains when you are growing and when you don't want to grow their are pains because we are kicking and fight every step of the way God is try to take us.
you can't keep a person that don't want to be kept .We praying that they stay and leaving is still on there mind we are not Jesus. And God give us Leader/ Pastor after our on heart. We got to walk after the spirit and not our flesh, we got to much flesh showing up.
This is a Job for the Lord and the battle is the Lord.We got to let the Lord handle his affairs. be encourage
Pulpit Predators- I have come across quite a few Pastors, Apostles as well as those that say they hold an office but act like they have forgotten whom they are serving. They prey on the weak, those with low self-esteem. How can you being a Pastor tell others not to sin and you are doing the very thing that you told them that they should not do. Or a Pastor that goes around and try to talk to as many women as he can, lying to them by telling them what they want to hear so that they can use them for their gain and when you get what you want you no longer want to deal with her. It is so sad, Preachers use the pulpit to have there way. But what they need to start being concerned about: when the Lord stated in His Word: Woe unto the shepherd who scatters my sheep. Also they need to remember that judgement starts in the house of the Lord.
WE MUST REMEMBER , SOME ARE NOT SERVING GOD . THEY ARE SERVING god ( THINK )
Hi Sister and thanks for the invite for me to respond. Personally I think that the bottom line is to allways make sure one is joined to another in the spirit. Connected because the 'Lord' joined you. Secondly you are connected in the spirit because you have a passion for like kind things thirdly one is connected to another because you share the same passion and mission and ministry values. This narrows down drastically ministry abuse and places you among men and women of God where you are appreciated and valued rather then tolerated and put up with. I know this takes time and involves prayer and on the pratical side connecting with folks you come to value as true friends first before relying on them for leadership.

Excuse the brevity of this somewhat oversimplified answer, but this is a blog post and not an essay, and many thanks for the opportunity to respond...
I thank all of you for your insight and encouraging words. This problem has gone on too long. It must be put to a stop. My friends want o know what steps to take. I can only advise them to a certain point. I believe Pastos should not bash other pastors. I don't do that. Be if evil exists and is not dealt with , it will take over. We had a saying years ago KILL it before it MULTIPLIES. People that love he Lord. should recieve love, and some in delicat situations must be handled with gloves. They can only take so much

If people want to be abused they could have stae in the street. God is not the author of confusion. Everyone should have a well made up mind, not wonder what the next tanget is going to be. I love people all of God 's people. But my hear breaks and the nights i pray that they don't let what is going on hinder thm from the relationship with GOD. God Bless!
