Nope, because many switched from saved to backslidder and lukewarm believer. People get saved, but forfeit their own salvation. Salvation is free, but people push it away or play with it sometimes.
that is true id free and it is up to us
I wonder if the OSAS debate--which I have noticed rages in all corners of Christendom (including these message boards)--isn't all a waste of energy. We know from scripture that anyone who has a pattern of sin in their lives is not saved. Brother John styled it this way:

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot [committeth] sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother."
[1 John 3:8-10]

The "-eth" of the Old English verbs represented continuous action--so that John was not discussing individual transgressions (he addressed them in verses 1:8-10), but rather an on-going pattern of sin. It is the person in this state that is marked for hellfire (regardless of whether that person professes to be a Christian). This is what we should be telling people.
That God is real and that he goes beyond what we see religion to mean he is more.
