Over the years, I have heard many men and women in the holiness denominations say that women shouldn't wear pants in the church.

Were is the scripture to support the ideology that women shouldn't wear pants? If it is in scripture then I would have to ask why are men wearing pants? Did men wear pants in biblical times or did their wear something that covered their loins and then long robe like attire? I mean isn't that what you depict in your biblical plays? So why aren't the men being asked to wear similar apparel in the church to maintain a outward appearance of holiness? Why aren't they asked to not cut their hair (both facial and head)

What are the clothing designations for men in the holiness denominations.

After all, without holiness NO man/woman shall see God.....

No. It does not say to wear pants, would you wear short because it does not say wear short. It don't say for us not to smoke pot, or take cocaine. But at woman can wear a robe. Men do wear robes. I wear a robe. The men did in the bibcial times.

But if you are not supposed to wer things that are manly isnt your robe manly.    I believe and hae witnessed the rejection of many people when too many supposed laws are invoked in so called churches

I thought that DENY part would identify my stance on wearing pants.  Because I do wear pants, but that doesn't mean it is right, I know that I don't DENY myself from wearing them, when I don't think it is appropriate in the church.  I do wear them sometimes to church, because I allow my flesh to want to be comfortable, but God knows, the spirit arises and I feel convicted.

So there you go, I hope I made it clearer this time.  When a person DENY him/or herself, they don't do what they want to do.

In Love, Sis. Denise

a simple "I am against wearing panys" would suffice.  I find that in a multiplicity of words there is "nothing"

Your response is anything but clear.l

Thank you Jesus.
This is a time of knowing that we have an unchanging God. Man changes all the time. I was raised in the church for a woman not to wear pants just for the respect of the House of God. I want go to a hospital with pants on to pray for another. You could go to the hospital to pray for someone you know and in that same room there is someone that need to be ministry to and God sent you to them and they came from a church that don't believe in a woman wearing pants in the church. Her mother or grandmother went to such a church the believe this way, yet she is unsaved, yet she did go to church at one time.  I don't care if she is white or black, and you have a Word for her and she will never receive it because she can't get pass your pants. God says stay clear of all appearance of evil. If you come out of a man house at 3 am. you could be in there just witnesses  to him. But some will say you just got out of his bed. There is just common sense. Read Roman 14 and that should tell you what God feel concerning pants in winning souls. Care for others. God bless.

If you go around dressing and looking like everyone wants you to look you are a busy and confused person.

We do so much other stuff until we zero in on the unecessary things and let the whales slide on through

It tells women not to wear men clothes in the Bible. Now make that out what you want that to mean. I refuse to disrespect God house. He is a Holy God. If I have to dress a certain way to meet the Queen of England. I need to respect the Most High and Wonderful God House when I go to meet Him. I do wear pant when I go out. I don't wear them in the pulpit. God knows me afar off.

I will not let a woman up in my pulpit with pants on. Singing. preaching or whatever. I do what God has called me to do. I respect otherspoints of veiws. When I have visit a church and have seen women with pants on. and She has had a good word but I couldn't get into what she was saying and never went back. They lost me. I thank God for your work in winning souls.

Pastor Venus

Pastor Venus:  I felt that spirit of conviction in your words.  And you are so right on with the respect.  But see I have a problem with woman wearing dresses on the pulpit, that is why they have to cover their laps, some even cover their ankles, because of the attraction to the knee and ankle of a woman.  I don't know, we ALL will meet God one day and He will give each one their reward, I pray that I have taken His word. word for word, letter by letter and literally and not twisted it to my own way of thinking.

God said a woman should not adorn herself as a man and like wise a man should not adorn himself like a woman.  I don't think that need to be changed, or develed into with great suspicion or concern.  He said it, I believe it and that settles it for me.  I just know that He will come quickly and I just pray that I am in line with HIS WORD and not mine.

In Love, Sis. Denise

Dear Denise,

Amen. Glory to the Highest. I cover my legs in the pulpit if the dress

is knee lenght. I have prayed about this. Maybe God will used this sister

in bringing His Word forth in pants so a soul could be saved. Whoever is saved, may learn of Him and feel that she should change as she grow in Him. I don't know. His ways are not our way. His thoughts are far above what I could think. I just want to respect Him. I love Him so much. When I do what I do. I show Him how much I respect Him in dress. talk.and action. I visited a church in downtown Montreal Canada years ago. I seen a nun come to the alter and pray. When the nun finish praying, she got up and bow before the alter and she back out away from the alter. I seen on television others that met the Queen and when finish speaking before the Queen they backed away from the Queen, and the Queen turned her back to them and walked away. They back all the way to the door, never turning their back on the Queen.

I saw this action the first time with the nun in a Cathedral. I am not Catholic. I just wanted to go into a church building and pray that day. When I witness this action from the num; I said wow! I like this. I have never stop doing this at the alter when I pray. WHAT great respect that I have for the King of King. His Name is Jesus.

I do not stop to answer but to say Jesus did not look on the outside but the inside. And as we become a Christian we must become a light for others to see. They must see Christ in you not on you. This is your life and your walk. Pants is not the issue but the one's that worry about them is. Lets us be more concern about the Soul not the Clothes
Preach on, Brother Pastor!
