After watching the recent debates between McCain / Obama and Palin / Biden, I figured I would give all of the members of Black Preaching Network an open forum to discuss election issues, prayers, and concerns leading up to November 4th.

Again, thank you for being a member of BPN and I pray that the network is a continued support and encouragement to your ministry.

So I guess this shouldn't give hope to our race at all?
My brother in all due respect, can you simply answer whether a black president gives hope to the black race in your assumption from your research? My research says that some of what you say is true, I personally just don't and will never believe that Christianity is not the way! But whether you or I am right does not matter for my question. My question is simple in regards to hope not victory just hope that one day race will not be the factor in the glass ceiling.
My point is that if ever we as a race are going to come together, then we have understand and respect our fundamental differences.
1. You believe that the scripture provide that we should worship on Saturday. I believe that because we needed to set ourselves apart we should worship on Sunday. I do understand the worship of the sun, but believe it is more coincidence than reasoning for change. I believe that the change was instituted to set Christianity apart from Judaism.
2. You believe that Jesus did not get up on Sunday. I believe that he got up, research says Sunday is debatable, but HE GOT UP!
3. You believe that all holidays are pagan! I believe that much of what goes on in holiday worship is pagan, but not all! I believe holiday study is important. I equally believe that our intent and devotion to follow Christ should outway any influence that is wrong. I am currently studying the Holy Days. I am actually taking a class at SEMINARY called The Feasts of God.

In the end, my only point is the only way we will ever come together as a race is to accept each others differences. You believe things I don't, I believe things that you don't, but don't we both believe in the development of the black race?
What term?
You still did not answer my question. Can we agree on the development of black people even if the choose to follow nobody?
I believe we should be concerned about people whether they believe what I believe or not. Our beliefs are different, but I want to see you eat, prosper, and be in health. I don't want to see you stereotyped or profiled because of the color of your skin! I think we have to begin to reach out to our people whether they decide to have affiliation with us or not!
No because all have to do develoment. But I would partner with a Muslim, a Mormon, or others if I believed that although we have fundamental beliefs that their essential belief was one where holiness and purity in lifestyle.
Luke 10:25-37
Luke 10:25-37 has absolutey nothing to do with God condoning Israel to take part in Idolatry.
Moreh, my bad man lol.
THINK BEFORE YOU VOTE ! What will God Bless...

Have you ever watched the movie... "A Civil Action" with John Travolta and Robert Duvall? A true story, an excellent movie, with an extremely relevant message for today...

Anyway, at the end of the Movie you see John Travolta, who portrays a somewhat sleazy and greedy Personal Injury Trial Attorney sitting in a courtroom defending HIMSELF in a bankruptcy proceeding. After engaging in what looked like the opportunity of a lifetime, the largest, most lucrative lawsuit he ever brought to trial, he finds himself in a loosing battle.

Totally outgunned by the largest law firm in Boston, both in terms of money and eloquence of speech, he exhausts all of his personal and corporate wealth as well as that of his (now former) business partners. He sits alone in front of a bankruptcy judge played by Kathy Bates.

The judge makes the following statement to Jan Schlickman (played by Travolta), "The purpose of these questions are not to embarrass or humiliate, but to verify the information you have declared as your assets, because what you are asking your creditors to believe with this petition is... well its hard to believe... that after 17 years of practicing law, all you have to show for it is $14 dollars and a transistor radio."

Travolta says, "that's correct". The judge then asks, "Where did it all go... the money, the property, the personal belongings that one acquires over one's life... the things by which one measures one's Life?" He sits there with no answer... totally baffled... only now, realizing all of his efforts, time, talent and resources had been wasted fighting for things he could never keep. Things that have no lasting value...

He had all the evidence and still lost. His opponent had all the money and eloquence and won... at least for now...see how it ends...

One day we will all sit before God and he will ask us a similar question?
"Where did it all go... the truth, the grace, the discernment that I poured into your life... where did it all go... the things by which I measure your life?"

God does not and has never offered grace to a nation who rejects truth...
and I have never seen a more blatant disregard for God's truth than this man "Obama" presents. In his power, he would overturn every ounce of God's favor on this nation. God never seeks the lesser of two evils and never forsakes His truth for economic comfort or expedience.

Jeremiah 8:8-9
8 " 'How can you say, "We are wise,
for we have the law of the LORD,"
when actually the lying pen of the scribes
has handled it falsely?

9 The wise will be put to shame;
they will be dismayed and trapped.
Since they have rejected the word of the LORD,
what kind of wisdom do they have?

Hosea 4:6
6 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
"Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also reject you as my priests;
because you have ignored the law of your God,
I also will ignore your children.

Jeremiah 2:13
13 "My people have committed two sins:
They have forsaken me,
the spring of living water,
and have dug their own cisterns,
broken cisterns that cannot hold water.

As it is said,
"For those who understand, no explanation is needed."
"For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible."

Let God Be True and every man a liar. I pray He does not abandon this nation as His people have abandoned Him...
