What does prosperity mean to the Body of Christ.  Does it has any place in teaching, is it

for the body, should it be taught or should it be ignored.  What is biblical prosperity?

What does the bible has to say about this topic?

Obeying means being born again...if we are born again we will want only to obey..its not tit for tat its tha fact that when we beacme born again we received a new WILL that wants to please God and is most happy when doing Gods will sure we will obey from our inner man we obey and are righteous in Gods eyes.. as for get you money you can worship money if you want...but money can't by salvation..

Greetings Preacher,

No one said money can buy salvation and it should not be served.

Christ paid the price for salvation with his life by his death on the cross.
And raising from the dead.

I dont know if you are a pastor or minister but you have to have money
to pay basic bills.

What do you use to pay your bills in your church.

Money is a tool in this earth used to promote the Gospel in your city,
state, nation and finally all the earth.

This is a free tool this site and I praise God for it. But the station I am on
in cleveland expect for me to pay the radio bill with money.

We are soon to go on another tv network and purchase a building
and it will take money. Now if some one forgives a debt praise God.
The money he gave me and the ministry can advance another part of
the vision.

Get your money and use it for the Kingdom.

Minister, Pastor, samething basically...and as to the question are these my personal thought NEVER.... this is what the bible teaches,if we would get ourselves out of the way and listen to Gods word a lot would make better sense, but yet we tend to lean towards our own MISUNDERSTANDING..
YOU POSTED THIS VERSE: Is. 48:17 *Thus says the Lord our Redeemer, the Holy one of Israel; I am the
Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit (for your advantage and benefit),
which leadeth thee by the way (paths of rightousness) that you should
go ( you have a choice, the Holy Spirit will not make us take any path
we dont want)
answer; the false teachers have trained many well that everytime they see the word profit in the bible its referring to money...well thats ebcause their hearts are turned towards money and not God...now read that verse the way God intended it to be read...

Is. 48:17 *Thus says the Lord our Redeemer, the Holy one of Israel; I am the

which leadeth thee by the way (paths of rightousness) that you should

we dont want)
Notice the firstthing God says is he is the redeemer ( HINT) he's telling us what he does he redeems... this profit is speaking of salvation..path's of righteousness..again HINT.. we are on the path of righteousness when we are being drawn to salvation..you said the holy spirit will not make us take any path we don't want...what about Jonah? what about Moses? Its not about what we want..again this is evidence of the false teaching in ALL the churches today teaching the I, ME... gospel the gospel is about Jesus alone and what he has done

Greetings Preacher,

He has redeemed us from the curse of the law.
Before adam fell, he and eve had dominion.

Christ redeemed us back to where we should be no less.
Now you can settle for less but we are joint heirs with Christ.

Christ is seated in heavenly places and the scripture says so
ae we far above principalities or satan rule).

Pathes of righteous when we are drawn to salvation. OK but
but what happens after salvation.

Are you set on your own. No. Because now we must learn
the father and his ways, develope a relationship with Christ and
with the leading of the Holy Spirit.

We are forever on the path or pathes no one has attain and we
are still growing in Christ.

As far as jonah and moses i really dont see where they were
made to do anything. I'll restudy these passages over the next
week or so.

But I must agree that there are a lot of false teaching on this
subject. All we can do is study and ask for God's wisdom.

Right now in church I am teaching on the "impact of the resurrection"
it will be on my page next week.

What I am teaching on shouldhelp some. I would like your oopion
and other men and women of God on this forum.

you said: Christ redeemed us back to where we should be no less. Now you can settle for less but we are joint heirs with Christ.
answer: Philippians 2:3
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

Jonah 1

1The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: 2“Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.”

3But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.

4Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up. 5All the sailors were afraid and each cried out to his own god. And they threw the cargo into the sea to lighten the ship.

Exodus 8:1
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and say to him, 'This is what the LORD says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.

11But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

12And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, youa will worship God on this mountain.”

13Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”

14God said to Moses, “I am who I am.b This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

1Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you’?”

8Then the Lord said, “If they do not believe you or pay attention to the first miraculous sign, they may believe the second. 9But if they do not believe these two signs or listen to you, take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground. The water you take from the river will become blood on the ground.”

10Moses said to the Lord, “O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

11The Lord said to him, “Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”

13But Moses said, “O Lord, please send someone else to do it.”

Greetings Preacher,

I beleive in keeping scripture in context and having scriptural
balance.

But you sir pick and choose.

For instance jonah you cant stop at verse 5. Tell the whole
story.

Jonah chose the path of destruction. He coould have chose the
path of life in the first place.

And moses, God was showing him no matter the excuse or
flaws God can use anyone.

every scripture does not have multiple meanings JESUS IS KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS what else do you believe that means?

you also said this:I dont know if you are a pastor or minister but you have to have money
to pay basic bills.
you don't need money to pay bills you need Jesus to supply all your NEEDS..again we xcan see clearly here where the false churches hearts are focused on the MONEY and not Jesus... the comment WE NEED MONEY is boarderline Idoloatry...

Matthew 4:4
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

Deuteronomy 8:3 "He humbled you and let you be hungry, and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;

1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.

and lastly my friend...

Hebrews 13:5 Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,"
GB
Greetings Preacher,

I see a lot of scripture but it does not add up to your opinion.

"We need money is boarder line idolatry" your statement.

My brother whether you work, someone gives to you or
someone forgives a debt.
(you worked for money, someone gave money or someone
lost money).

It is a blessing and money was involved. In each case.

The word money is a hard term for some I know but that is
only because some folks are tempted by money or there flesh
is not submitted to Christ in this area.

Smeone is paying for this site so we can chat for free and express
ourselves. Promote our churches, meetings what have you.

Money is a tool in the earth that should be used by the saints.

The Bible says that the children of darkness our wiser than the
children of light.

They manage money but saints allow money to mange them and it
makes us all look ridiculous and no one takes us serious until we
prove we are responsible, accountable and wise.

Pastor R. Phillips
but by the grace of God this site is here...If God had not made it possible no money in the world could make it happen to God be the glory..NOT MONEY..AGAIN WE ARE TO GIVE GLORY TO GOD ALONE..
Greetings Preacher,

I give God all the glory in all things. But we must realize
there is practical application of the Word of God not just
spiritual. There is a balance. And we must find it to operate
and be effective witnesses for our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Chist.

We have been so spiritual for so long without any balance
until it has created bondages in the saints lives. Money,
healing, deliveances of any kind are no good without God in
our life.

And God being first in our life.

Money is not evil in it self at all. It is the love of money or any
thing else that we may love more than God. THATS EVIL.
Idolatry is anything that we have put before God.

And I do agree if one will put money before God and they know
its a weekness for them. Than they need to stay away from
it until God becomes first in their life.

The Lord is my shepheard I shall not want..meaning have need of a SHEPHERD.. because he just told you the LORD is his shepherd...understand now..lets see what else he says?

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. (or be in need of any other shepherd)
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, ( green pastors ) feeding on his word
he leads me beside quiet waters,( still waters ) his spirit and his word
3 he restores my soul. ( salvation from a dead soul )
He guides me in paths of righteousness ( his word and his spirit leads us )
for his name's sake. ( not for us but for himself he created us) in other words don't ut the owner to shame...
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
( sin and the world and we will all die we are all in deaths shadow) I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, (rod=correction and staff guidance )
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me ( supplies all our NEEDS physically and most important spiritually )
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; ( the holy spirit )
my cup overflows. ( cup of righteousness and his spirit through Jesus )

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me ( Jesus )
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever. ( heaven )

Riches in the Bible:

Philippians 4:19
God promises us riches, but not of the sort we're used to pursuing here on earth. The riches God blesses us with are spiritual riches, namely the grace of Jesus Christ and the spiritual benefits of following him.

GB
I agree with all that has been said.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God, His righteousness and ALL these THINGS shall be added unto you."
When the first part of this scripture is done then God can bless you with material- which today is looked at as money, cars, bling, homes, land and other material.
However, I Titus 6:8 told us to be content in what we have- no matter what it is that we have. MOST leaders are NOT teaching this. They are now teaching that you are not blessed unless you making a certain amount, driving a certain car, living in a certain neighborhood. SOME even teach you haven't reached true salvation unless you have "things" which then are looked to prove.
SOME leaders have now even twisted the Word of God just because they know people will give them more money if they do as THEY want them to do- the Word called those types of leaders hirelings. That is why it is good for men and women of God to have their OWN careers/jobs because when you preach the TRUE Word of God you won't be liked and some people won't give their money if you are not scratching their ears. I've seen this first hand.
Nowhere in the bible doesit state that God would take care of our wants- He said he will supply all our NEEDS according to His riches in glory. I am content in the little I have. He will give us the desire of our hearts AFTER we have done what we were supposed to do to prove out loyalty and dedication to Him.
There was a time when I was scrambling for the almighty dollar until I lost that nice comfy position and the cupboards were bare, the refrigerator was bare and my pockets had nothing but lint balls lol!!!
The unemployment hadn't kicked in and maaaan I was starving and stressin' in this house but one day I took my last little bit of money and bought me some bread. I was walking back across the street and I saw a man feeding some birds. I heard a voice very small but clear that said, "If I can feed those birds don't you know I can take care of you?" From that day forward I hadn't stressed another day. The unemployment came and I did more with that little bit of unemployment than I did when I was bringing home almost $2500 a month. I was even in Chicago having a good time!!!
But I gave that testimony to say this- God can't show His glory if we want to show ours.
Prosperity has its place but if it is lord of your life then where is God?
