What does prosperity mean to the Body of Christ.  Does it has any place in teaching, is it

for the body, should it be taught or should it be ignored.  What is biblical prosperity?

What does the bible has to say about this topic?

God doesn't command us to quit our Jobs, God commands us to work, and earn a living..
Greetings Preacher,

I look at your responses and I totally respect your veiws and opinions.

But you must still add balance to your train of thought.
There is false teaching in some churches I do agree.

But...................................

If this false teaching goes on in church "all of them" then i guess i can
assume you dont attend church.

No one loves money or at least i dont. But i think you do because you keep
trying to drive home money worship.

Money is a tool in my hand from the father. I use money to do good, not evil.

Have you taken a vow of poverty. If not what are you waiting for. Surely
according to you it is the right thing to do.

But seriously. God loves you. He wants you blessed and prosperous in every
way. Dont throw it back in his face.

God is God almighty and a loving Father to his Children whether they know
better or not.

thers no commandment to take a vow of poverty...the way we veiw money is just that a tool...yet we do not worship or love money, nor do we put out TRUST IN MONEY... desiring to have a large bank account is in many cases a way of saying i don't trust God... that I can't see..i want money in large amounts to put my trust in...this is Idolerty...if you are born again you're total needs are met whether rich or poor...if you are born again you are made whole whether rich or poor...the church teach,if you are not wealthy you are not blessed of God...thats a lie...Jesus DID NOT HAVE LARGE SUMS OF MONEY..nor did the disciples!!!Fact...we are to trust in God in any sittuation we may be in that his word is true and he will suply our NEEDS according to HIS riches in Glory..what are his riches in glory..they are not worldly things..they are spiritual things...the bible CLEARLY TEACHES US NOT TO BE CONCERNED WITH THESE WORLDLY THINGS...

Matthew 6:25
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

28“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

19“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

22“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

24“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

What u mean by balance is trying to mix Gods word with your idea's and ways of thinking, just like the false teachers..balance according to God means..only what he says in his word..not what we think..
U DONT TAKE A VOW OF POVERTY== A VOW and PLEDGE TO POVERTY IS A STATE OF EXISTENCE an actual way of being poor and doing poor thing---
the (train of thought) of black church is that of poverty---which is what makes the god prosperity to appealling---
of thee imput Jah into the black church then the people will know jah created prosperity (and she is a ho)...
good created poverty (he will sleep any where)....the combine produces something in between or (it be ween)---
thus and such the poor made poor by sin and slavery ----meets prospering woman (inflated by chance)---thus and such imbalance produce a poor child trying to prosper---without the correct sricpts numbers nor Jah.
in a nutshell U have the problem...
Jah law is simple that it confuses the complex---
they higher institute of learning u sux up or suc cum from is what u have become---thus and such U have no place in jahs universre---
those whom have forsaken the traps of this world as best they could have---
Jah says follow his Law and Live right Now...

I am reposting my comment as it has been deleted from My Page. I notice the hot topics that are deleted are my comments on the prosperity teaching and false prophets. I wonder why?

What saddens me most about the teaching is that what is often proposed is supported from a scripture taken completely out of context mainly from the Old Testament. And those who don't subscribe or agree to such erroneous teaching have to be labeled in some way. My feelings on the matter is that if you believe it and its your conviction then be satisfied with that. Dont use pulpit force on congregants by trying to dominate, control and intimidate them to garner agreement. That's not a preachers job. You teach biblical principles and allow the Holy Spirit to do the convicting. If it's His Word He will convict in His time.

Collecting tithes is a great example. A person is called a thief, robber and crook if they aren't paying tithes, but the Sword cuts both ways for when you say "God Said" when he didn't and you collect peoples money is that not a crook? Or when you preach and ask people to pay into the word "is that not merchandising the Word? Is that not a robber?.

As i've said before we don't need to make a ministry out of prosperity. The few scriptures in the Bible tell us exactly what there is for us to do to prosper. The first being meditate on the Word day and night and the other scriptures follow. It's no mystery that requires exegesis. It's made too deep and it's not. It's very simple. 1 Cor 2:5 Allow God to be God in people's lives so it will be a conviction for them not and not compulsion.

We are living in the hour where God is not going to allow the Word to continue to go forth in error unchallegned by the Spirit. He will find a way to make His Will known. It's just not going to be comfortable. The Spirit of Truth is judging the Church.
If whhat you said was in line with the word of God about prosperity ,thats why it was romoved..
Most people don't want truth..
