My heart was stirred today as it occasionally is when I get requests from brothers in India and Africa to befriend them or go to their nation. I must admit I have to fight back tears, seeing my own comfortability and asking God for grace to do what's uncomfortable. My heart goes out to these men and women preaching without fear in lands hostile to their teaching and our God. it provoked me to write this maybe for my own benefit but I trust it shall speak to you too:-

10 reasons why you should go overseas.

1. Going into all the world is the command of the Lord to his disciples, this generation has no excuse not to obey Jesus, including us preachers! (Mark 16:15-18).
2. Going overseas will increase our capacity and always broaden our perspective (Acts 10:9-15).
3. Going overseas will reveal that your focus back home is way to narrow and your vision way to small (Acts 10:15).
4. Going overseas will unlock another facet of 5 fold ministry that is only discovered by going into another land and standing among a people of another culture (Acts 13:2).
5. Going overseas will rid you of the spirit of want. You will never lust for carnal material things after visiting the poor. Acts 4;32-34).
6. Going overseas will enable you to walk in the shoes of those who are hounded, persecuted, hated and rejected. Your experience will show that you have been chasing the superficial and artificial, your eyes will be opened to a new reality, and nothing but the real thing's of God will satisfy (Acts9:15-18).
7. Going overseas will place you on the devil's hit list and God's list of heroes. Satan hates missionaries because they oppose restrictions, defy barriers and smite the spirit of fear. Missionaries antagonize the devil because they don't give into cultural trends, political advice and human reasoning, they go when everything else stays, "stay home!" (Acts 23:11,12 ).
8. God gives you authority over the territory to which you are assigned. Go knowing that you have authority over devils, favor with man, freedom in the Holy Ghost and wisdom to relate truth to those in authority. (Acts 1)
9. If you're apostolic in doctrine and nature you must go overseas. Acts 2:38,42).
10. Be prepared to preach about the "one God" clearly passionately and doctrinally, Anything less cannot convince a people of its carnality, idolatry, lethargy and poverty. (Acts14:15. 17:23-27).

Someone once asked me. "when is it time for me to go overseas?" I replied, "when you can longer tolerate staying where you are"...

Paul.

please tell me of your experience or plans below thankyou and the Lord empower you in this new level this year change is on its way 2U.

So many use the title apostle  yet they have not preached Jesus, they have never gone overseas and never played a church and never heard God like Saul, who told him , "I am Jesus!"...are you an apostle. Leave aside your title and preach in a foreign land...i dare you...

The Lords blessings be yours Sister Jean. Obeying Gods "go ye"  is the ultimate assignment for his preachers. In a day in which many are intimidated by the challenge, its great to see one like yourself who takes on the challenge.

Many Thanks for your response to this post and have a blessed week
Brother Paul

God bless you for this thought provoking blog. It is the gospel truth and I can say that because I have been traveling overseas to minister. God never cease to amaze me with His  manifested glory on these trips, to God be the glory. Blessings!

8 Reasons to go overseas. (P2T)
1. Go because God has called you and if that was the only reason, it would be reason enough
2. Go in the fear of God, because you fear God and out of love for him you live the selfless life
3. Go because there are souls that must be won. There are the lost that must be delivered,  there are the bound that need to be set free.
4. Go because you are called and not because you have an open invitation form another.
5, Go, sometimes we have to go where we dont want to go. Look at Jonah he delivered a city, he did not want to preach in.
6. Go because its part of taking up your cross and following him. Maybe theres no cross to carry by staying home, The cross you bear is found in the mission you often dont want to partake in.
7. Go, because you are a prophet, apostles, preacher, If you cant go, refuse to carry the title. And when you do go refuse to bear the title. Titles dont give you power, humility does, If you want dominion walk in humility!...

8. Go because you are a Preacher.

Paul.

Actually Paul my brother and friend, you are right in your points, I do agree with you. Of course I am in preparation to take the gospel to overseas, thus reaching the unreached and re-reaching the reached. In fact, I would have been on my way by now but due to some challenges of the ministry we still face some other things. I know that God will soon make a way for us. The problem I discovered with many people concerning going overseas is that many who had the open door are not mission mided, therefore they go with wrong motive after which they make no positive impart. It is a pity. I know some who go for selfish gain. Some actually made some money, yet not for the gospel. But notwithstanding, I equally know some who go for the gospel who latter returend home and raised men and women for God. God still have people and by His grace, I am one of them and I believe you too. Please, as you read this comment, are you one of God's people? Make yourself one. May His grace abound for you as you make yourself one. Yous in Him, Jerry C.
