What does prosperity mean to the Body of Christ.  Does it has any place in teaching, is it

for the body, should it be taught or should it be ignored.  What is biblical prosperity?

What does the bible has to say about this topic?

@ Pastor Phillips; your are right, there are many people on the network that have no way of communicating their belifes and when they encounter a person that holds a view that is diffierent form theirs they become threaten and result to name calling and put downs. I know I have been through it in the discussion and others. I have always said that i am here to learn, I may not be willing to change my views, but I want to learn why you and others that believe in the gospel of propesity do!

Greetings Pastor Sweet,

I appreciate you, pastor day, pastor paul, preacher and everyone else.  I really think you guys are good for this discussion.  Believe me I know many are watching what we have to say.  They will not comment because they are not rooted in the Word.  This discussion will drive the spectator to study more.  Because we pull scriptures people did not know was in their bible.  This is more than a discussion.  Its like a panel, bible study, its really a ministry.  We are teaching as well as learning.  So be encouraged and keep the session alive.

Pastor Phillips,

This topic of discussion has been a blessing. Keep teaching the truth! This has, indeed, been an exercise in iron sharpening!

Brother Pastor,

I really appreciate the intellectual honesty of your response. In the words of Forrest Gump, "that's all I have to say about that..."

Hi Pastor Philip. It is my pleasure to say from the heart of God that prosperity is the heritage of the children of God. God said to His children, "...be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over ..." Gen 1:28. Jesus never lived a life of poverty but a life of humility. Poor in heart as He taught in Matt 5 portrayed humility and not poverty. Poverty is never the portion of the children of God. People are poor in the church today because the church does not play her roll. Prosperity or poverty has nothing to do with big or small faith but a problem of ignorant, neglect and believe. Some people have taken prosperity to be a snare of the devil, God forbid. I told a man of God that accute poverty is in the mind, and this has been the problem of many. We must save ourselves from ignorauce and negligency that have enslaves us with poverty. Some people looks around to see the evidence of properity on me when they hear me preach, but I always tell them that it all starts in the heart or mind, secondly that I am under trainning. I know that the world will hear of me in due time. Poverty is not my portion in Jesus name. I will serve my prosperous God in prosperity. Pastor Jerry C. O.
Hello my Bishop Day, I can see your disscusion with Pastor R Philip. I even believe that everybody can be a millionaire if the church wants. I do not say "must" but can, unless those with low ability. I just want to stress that the possibility is there! God ordained wealth and riches in the church. I am preaching, teaching and working towards that and I know that in non distant time He will bless my hands and I will raise people for God. In essence, it is not the matter of being millionaires or billionaires but being prosperous. Having the knowledge that it is your God ordained it. Jesus said He come that you might have life and that you may have it more abundantly. He said tht every branch in Him that bears fruit He purges that it may bear more fruits. In fact God's supply only stops when you say you are ok.
Give and it shall be given ...good measure pressed down shaken together and running over, he freely giveth us ALL things he has given us RICHLY ALL things to enjoy. ....I believe that is prosperity ;obviously God is for it. We cannot give into the body of Christ if we are not prosperous.

Bro. Rollinson and to all who thinks that riches is money and not the peace that God gives you while obeying Him.

I beg the differ...Mother Teresa....if only proclaiming christians will do half, where would america's homeless and hungry be?  Have anyone went to the dollar store an purchased some gloves and hats this winter yet?

In Love sister Denise

Teresa wrote in her diary that her first year was fraught with difficulties. She had no income and had to resort to begging for food and supplies. Teresa experienced doubt, loneliness and the temptation to return to the comfort of convent life during these early months. She wrote in her diary:

Our Lord wants me to be a free nun covered with the poverty of the cross. Today I learned a good lesson. The poverty of the poor must be so hard for them. While looking for a home I walked and walked till my arms and legs ached. I thought how much they must ache in body and soul, looking for a home, food and health. Then the comfort of Loreto [her former order] came to tempt me. 'You have only to say the word and all that will be yours again,' the Tempter kept on saying ... Of free choice, my God, and out of love for you, I desire to remain and do whatever be your Holy will in my regard. I did not let a single tear come.
