The reason why I ask this type of question is the huge concern I see among the members in the body of Christ. My brother Dr. Andrew Coleman from Brooklyn New York asked me a question surrounding the many responses given from the Church about Placing Whitney Huston in heaven his question was "If  we all lived like Whitney and she made it into heaven then tell me who in the hell is going to HELL then" We all know that the Bible clearly makes an direct point of saying who will enter in to heaven and who will not. So for those of you who would like to answer his question please respond. Are we as a church sending the wrong messages just because the person was famous do they get to go into heaven in spite of their life style SO what she was raised in church SO what she talked  about the Lord does this destroy the testimony about keeping Gods commands and Decrees in order to make it to Heaven. What is this saying to the Sinner and those struggling in the church expecting deliverance.

God can save who He will.  He only knows the state of mind when she left this earth.  We as people of God cannot judge that because we weren’t there.  Yes! The world knows how she lived, but who is to say she made it or not.  I know God has saved many people on their death beds.  He forgives in the blink of an eye.

All we can do is hope that she made her peace with God the Father.

To answer your question, the Word of God says we know a tree by the fruit it bears.  No doubt, she had a Christian upbringing but she didn’t' live the life.

Only God knows.  This incident stirred my mind and my heart because I know what the word of God says.  A lot of people are going to be surprised in that Day of Judgment because they think they are going to make it.

We have to continue to pray they be not deceived by the devil.  As we lift up the name of Jesus through our lives, God will draw them unto Him.  We can't save anyone but ourselves.

Lord, please help me 2 live my life  representing you
inside and outside the church! Lord when I die
let there be no shadow of doubt. Let it be known
"this servant is with me"

Thank you my sister for your comment of truth.

To those of you that have already responded to this question I want you to think about this point I am trying to make. First lets look at the Bible and due away with our own concept of who gets into heaven. There is NO text in the Bible that supports that a person who knows to keep the commands and does not gets into heaven. My Bible says its better not to know then to KNOW and not do right. People make choices to live how they want if their lives does not fit the standard God has set for us to live what makes them heaven bound.

God makes a accountable for our actions especially if  what we do does not lead people to know Jesus and we were not the LIGHT in the dark place how can we expect at the moment of death God will allow you in. To be Realistic there are people who are not famous that live like Whitney and yet we come  in contact with them trying to get them to understand if you give your life to God you will be set free but they think they got time. The  thing is it is the TRUTH God makes you accountable to while you have time to receive him you should so if you hear God knocking and you harden your heart and then at the moment of death now your knocking and should he just receive you even though you shun his rebuke.

In Prov ch 1 the Bible speaks of wisdom and it says For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge. 23 Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. 24 Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded, 25 Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, 27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. 28 "Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me. 29 Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord, 30 They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke. 31 Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies. 32 For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them; 33 But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil."

John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Here is the only being who wants to go to Heaven

Isaiah 14:12-14  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

God's Kingdom is going to be on the earth.

Daniel 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

Show me one time where we are going to heaven in the Bible.. The only one who wants to go to heaven is Satan. We don't come from Heaven, so why do we want to go their.

John 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Don't bring me that Thessalonians either because they met the Lord in the air, not in the 3rd Heaven like people claim.

By no means am I judging her personally but what I am stating is what the word has said. The word has judged her according to how she lived. The Bible clearly lets us know what SIN is and the behaviors that come along with it and the truth of the matter is no one gets in to Heaven unless you follow the principles of God.

My Sistah, I partially agree with you.  But the man on the cross next to Christ is a perfect example.  He was a thief but that day, the Lord told him, he would be with him in paradise.  This man was a sinner and he lived a sinner's life.  But on his death-bed, sort to speak, he repented of his sins and Jesus saved him.

There are examples for every situation in the bible.

I know many people who lived like sinners while they were alive, but on their death beds, they repented and I believe God saved them.

So I agree with Elder, we have to be very careful of what we say and how we say it.  This race is not given to the swift or the fastest.  There are some people who are believed to live a godly life. But sometimes, that doesn't guarantee them into heaven.

There is one scripture which says in Ecclesiastes 11:3, If clouds are full of water, they pour rain upon the earth. Whether a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where it falls, there will it lie.

Whatever state our minds are in (the condition of our hearts) when God calls our name, that's where we will be.

Please share the text in the bible where it say that you can live a SINNFUL life and still die and go to Heaven. My point is there isn't one. The thief on the cross if you do your Research/ Theology you will find out he never had a chance to know Jesus and receive the truth. So his telling him he will be with him proves those who don't know the truth and receive the truth will make it in so he was not accountable.

In saying that those who are accountable are judged for the truth they know. So tell me this should we all just go back to our sinnful life and when we know our time has come then accept the lord as our savior? that would mean OUR salvation is in vain then if all you got to do is wait until your ready to be saved.

I'm not saying that at all.  If God chooses to leave us here, yes we MUST live a life unto Christ. But this is not always the case.  God does whatsoever He will.  And who are we to condemn anyone.  All we're commissioned to do is to love our brother, pray for them, edify and encourage them without judgment.  Hate the sin but love the soul.  For if we put the knife to our brother's neck, does that not mean that knife will come back to us as well?

With all due respect, we reap what we sow. It doesn't matter if we speak it, do it or think it.  Whatsoever a man sow, that shall he also reap.

I'm only speaking for myself.  You see, I keep in mind where God has brought me from.  We all have a past and with the compassion in my heart, I’m led not to judge any man but show them love as Christ showed for me.

GBU Sistah.

Thank you my sister for your  profound response to the questions asked. Every comment made is for the edifying and building up of the church. We must be wise in all things especially in the comments we make. God bless you :)

do we go to Heaven? why do we assume we go to Heaven is a better question?
