I say no! All sin seperates us from a loving God. It was out of His love for us that he died on a cross and crucified all sin paying it's debt. Homosexuals are not hated by God and they are not hated by me. The sin they are in is no different than the sin that I struggle with day to day. Be careful about hate, it will eat you from the inside out. Love people, all people the way Christ loves you and me.

Sin is always death. The sin of homosexuals comes with horrible consequences. So does the sin of drunkeness and idolitry and so the list goes on and on. Jesus is the solution and the salvation for all men and for all sin. Thius may not be popular, but standing for Christ and resting in His word has never been the most popular thing to do. Love your neigbor is not a choice. Hate the sin love the sinner is what I have been told.

Read Matt. 5:28 He said to be perfect as He is perfect, we can never be perfect within our selves, but through Christ we are perfected. Read 2 Cor. 3:11, Eph. 4:13, Heb. 6:1 in King James version.

That was the reason He died so that we could be saved from sin, read Romans 6 chapter and the 8 chapter. How can the Christ in us allow us to sin. His dying is in vain if HIS SALVATION isn't strong enough to keep us from sinning. You can be kept only if you want to be kept.
"when one practices sin, that person will suffer eternal death."
hello... I would like to ask 2 questions
1. what do you mean by "practice" sin? Are you referring to those who intentionally & continually do wrong against God?
I ask the 1st in my attempts to better understand the 2nd 1/2 of your statement.

2. Is there a biblical reference that you can share regarding eternal death being charged for practicing sin?
Read Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death which neans eternal death.
NO MAN CAN KEEP THE LAWS OF GOD UNLESS THEY HAVE RECEIVED THE POWER OF GOD IN THEIR FLESH. THE PURPOSE OF THE CRUXION AND RESURRECTION WAS TO FREE US FROM ALL SIN AND SINNING. THE WORD ASK THE QUESTION SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SIN ? PAUL SAID GOD FORBIDS.SO NO MAN CAN KEEP THE LAWS UNLESS THEY HAVE BEEN BORN AGAIN. HE TOLD NICODIMEUS YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN NOT OF THE FLESH BUT OF THE SPIRIT. GOD"S WORD SAID BE YE PERFECT AS MY FATHER IN HEAVEN IS PERFECT.IT HAPPENS DAILY THROUGH OBEDIENCE. PAUL SAID I DIE DAILY.
How can you make such a statement that the Bible does not teach us to love the sinner? What does it mean to you when the Master, Jesus-Christ, says:"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"?
Amen James The new testament is full of quotations telling the church to keep the Commandments. I dont know what the problem is concerning Christians who dont want to build there lives around such safe basic teachings..The only part of the bible that God wrote with his own finger is the 10 commandments!!! Jesus said if want eternal life to the rich young ruler keep the Commanments and follow me..Its that simple!!!
God bless you James keep the faith my man..

Any one who wants scripture proof to what ive said here please reply and I will get back ASAP Shalom
1 John 3:3-5

3) And EVERY man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

4) WHOSOEVER committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin IS the transgression of the law.

5) And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and IN HIM IS NO SIN.

I don't believe any sin is greater than another. We are all born into sin. Sin is just that, sin. Just as a lie is a lie no matter how small it MAY seem. We cannot judge the weight of the sin, that is up to the Almighty God. The wages of sin is death and the gift of God is eternal life. God decides..not us.
A list of six "abominations" are also given in Proverbs 6: 16 - 19:
These six things doth the LORD hate:
yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies,
and he that soweth discord among brethren.

The simple term "wickedness" is equated with "abomination" in Proverbs 8:7. "Lying lips" are added to the list in Proverbs 12: 20 and a "proud heart" in Proverbs 16: 15. It seems then that pride and lies to further one's own agenda are every bit as hateful to a holy God as are sexual sins.

Who then can stand before Him?

Those that justify the wicked or condemn the just, as well as scorners are listed as "abominations" in Proverbs 17: 15 and Proverbs 24:9.

Prayer is added to the list of "abominations," if it comes from one who turns his ear from hearing the law in Proverbs 28:9. That becomes especially significant in view of the consideration that all of God's laws are summed up in the great principle of Love to God and to one's neighbors and that Christ Himself demonstrated that Law in His life. Are my prayers an "abomination"? Are yours?

I am forced to the conclusion that an "abomination" simply refers to something the Lord "hates" -- something totally out of harmony with His character of purity and love. If we take the biblical record as a whole, we find that pride and self-sufficiency are mentioned more often than any other qualities as being distasteful to God. And no wonder. Pride feels no need, and there's nothing even God can do for a self-sufficient sinner. That's why Jesus said that He came to save sinners and not the "righteous." Given that the Bible is clear that there is "none righteous," Christ's statement indicates as clearly as any other that a self-righteous spirit excludes its bearer from the kingdom of heaven.

Finally, not only did Christ clearly teach that a self-righteous spirit is a teflon-coated defense against saving grace, but He actually used the key word abomination in describing such a spirit. Luke gives this account in Luke 16: 15, 16 : "And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. And he said unto them, "Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God."

"That which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God." Position, wealth, education, popularity, religiosity, the esteem of men -- these are abomination in the sight of God.

In the final analysis, all our own "righteousness" is "abomination" in the sight of God. None can say, "I am better than you. My sin is not as bad as yours," for in so doing, we exclude ourselves from God's grace by our judgmental spirit and thus are lost without hope.
In answer to the original question, "Is there a sin that is any worse than another?", I do not believe that the Word of God teaches us that.

I do agree, however, wholeheartedly, with the statement, "Hate the sin...Love the sinner", whether it was originally "coined", in the natural sense, by Muhatma Ghandi or someone else. God, in His Eternal Love and Grace, has proven that statement over and over again in His Word. David, a man after God's own heart, committed both murder and adultery. Yet, God loved him, but judged and punished him for the sin. And, what about Sampson? Moses? Paul? Mary Magdalene? And, even Judas? A host of people who did great things for God, yet, in their sinful nature or state, were less than perfect. But God continued to love each of them, in their sinful state, but judged the sin. He never broke fellowship with them, but continued to draw them with His Love, in an effort to change their choices. Each of them (and us), then, are presented with the choice to make the necessary changes.
To them that God calls, he will love, and maintain fellowship with them, depending on their heart. The bible states in Psalm 5:5, 11:5, that God hates those who practice sin. When one does not belong to God, and they practice sin, it is he/she that God hates. Hosea 9:15 shows us that God came to hate the people of Gilgal. So, its still truth that God hates practionars of sin, but he loves those who are his own.
define hate, this may be a syntax problem and not doctrinal - hate is a strong word -define God's hate
If God detests something, that means he hates it. He pursues with Hatred(Hosea 9:15). Humans hatred only stems from sin, and wrong doing. God is just, and he hates. those who break his law. He detest them.
