Sometimes, we find ourselves in situations and circumstances and are undecided on which way we should go next. Should we move on? Should we move forward? Should we stand where we are? Often, we choose to stay put when we KNOW we should be moving on! We tend to hold on to things when we know we should let go. We stop dead in our tracks when we should keep pressing on!

Sound familiar?

John 21:7

7) Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord.
Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him,
(for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

Imagine: you've been up all night, sat in a stinky boat in the middle if the lake, fishing; that's your job, it's what you do. And what have you caught? Diddly squat!

Then some man, who isn't a fisherman, tells you to throw your nets the other side of the boat.
You'd be a bit reluctant, thinking 'who does He think He is, telling me my job' (proudly).............., but you do it anyway;

and WOW - not only one, but 153 fish leap into your nets!!!!!! (it pays to listen sometimes)

Just one question:

Who is this man?

One word from Him, and things change for the better.

Answer:

It was Jesus.

Peter's so excited that he leaves the fish he's been slaving all night for without a second thought, leaps off the boat, and runs through the water to Jesus. For Peter, even though his nets were full, he'd achieved his goal; he didn't stay and guard his blessings.

He went overboard and committed himself fully to God.

Could you do that?

It's a challenge for you today. When you've got what you want in life, don't just watch over it, but be willing to leave it for Jesus.

Peter felt like he was giving up everything when he left his boat, his mates, his fish and jumped in to see Jesus; but when he got there, Jesus was cooking...fish!

In other words: Sometimes, we have to LEAVE a blessing in order to RECEIVE a BIGGER blessing!

Be Blessed
