Hello Servants of God,

I am a newbie to this forum.I spend hours and hours each week putting together materials to minister to pastors as well as the congregation I pastor. In this last season I have walked through, I have been studying the four Gospels a whole lot more....just focusing on how Jesus ministered to people. So here's the question I have to which I would like to read your responses:

If there were a nation wide conference held for all pastors to attend from all across the body of Christ, and the keynote speaker was Jesus Himself, and he was to share a very brief message with the pastors focusing on one thing, what do YOU think the one thing he had to say would be?

Blessings,
Eddie Lawrence

Good Question. If we would read our Bible as ONE BOOK, with ONE INTRODUCTION, ONE STORY, ONE CONCLUSION. Discover a unifying them woven throughout the Holy Scriptures from Genesis to Revelatioin unveiling God's purpose for us in a fresh way, we would know what he would speak to the leaders and followers of Him who are charged and commanded to as He said "FOLLOW ME"!!

The only time throughout Jesus ministry as He journeyed on this very short time on earth the only time He is recorded to have actually thumbed through the scriptures as he turned the pages to find that one passage and put His Holy finger upon the page to hold it while He proclaimed the reason of HIs coming is was recorded in the book of Luke 4:18

Luk 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised,"

This is the mission of Christ. To seek and to save that which is lost. God had only one son and He made His only begotten son a MISSIONARY!

There are over 1.8 billion people in the world that are still unevangelized with over 3,200 people groups still left in the world representing over 200 million who have no scripture in their mother tongue and never heard of the only name that has the power and the authority to forgive their sins and to redeem their souls. Without the knowledge of Christ they are still sacrificing animals to atone for their sins. The Great Commission was announced after Jesus was crucified and right before Jesus ascended to heaven in His resurrected body was this command to all of us and to those 500 followers of His:

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

That is the very last thing in red that you see recorded in the four Gospels to "Go Ye Therefore...."

It is not fair nor just for us to hear the Gospels twice or more than twice when the rest of the world hasn't had the oppurtunity to hear the Gospel of Christ once. This is the charge and command of Christ is to preach this liberating Gospel starting in Jerusalem (home) and to the uttermost parts of the world. He won't come back until every nation, tongue and tribe heard of His first coming, cause He's a God of His word. The fulfillment of His promise and proof of His word concerning every tribe and nation must be preached is recorded in the book of Revelation:

Rev 7:9 "After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands;"

In order for this to be fulfilled we must all support God's Great Commission and live missionary sacrificial lives in either going, praying or financially supporting in following Christ's mandate to reach the world as ambassadors to reconcile the nations through the washing of His Word to bring hope, deliverance and the free gift of salvation to a lost and dyinig world!
He would speak on behalf of the sheepfold.

The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit . Jeremiah 2:8

Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot , they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. Jeremiah 12:10

The wind shall eat up all thy pastors , and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness. Jeremiah 22:22

Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. Jeremiah 23:1

LOOKING AT TODAY'S CHURCHES I DON'T THINK JESUS WOULD BE HANDING OUT ANY TROPHIES.
I think a lot of Pastors would be shocked at how Jesus responds to them. When a corporation fails many people look at the top management and blames that corporations leaders. When a country fails many look at the president. But in the church people seem to look away and say that nobody's perfect.

Jesus expects for pastors, bishops (leaders of his flock) to be found blameless. Why? Because they can cause the flock to scatter.

When you hear of pastors sleeping with members, raping and molesting young children, having homosexual escapades then you have got to know that those on the outside looking in are being pushed away from the church. Sinners will not want to be a part of a system where those presumed to be holy are snakes just like anybody else.
