..IN THIS LIFE THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT YOU HAVE TO GIVE UP IN ORDER TO FOLLOW CHRIST. EVEN WHEN MAKING LIFE DECISIONS. JESUS ENCOUNTERED THOSE DECISIONS. TELL WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS ON THIS.

Romans 8:17 says it like this in part b if we suffer with him(Jesus), that we may be also glorified together. Also Philipp1:29 says For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
Amen Sis! If you never go through anything how do you expect to gain.
I think about when the Lord told Peter to follow him nd he would make him a fisher of men. Think about it that was his job an the Lord told him to come off his job an follow him some people won't get off the church to follow the Lord (lol). When the Lord is calling you you have to give up things that will hold you back from doing his well.
Which is true, we always want God to give us something but we do want to work for it. It cost to have God's anointing it just don't come free. People don't understand that. They look at the glory but don't know the story behind it. If he gives us everthing so freely and we never have to suffer for it. What's the point of praying and worshiping him. It's not to be taken lightly. We must endure longsuffering.
Prophet, I think, I understanding what you are implying. Yet, I believe that God freely gave us everything in the beginning. According to Gen. He made the earth and all therein for man (mankind). He made man to be in relationship with Him. But when man sinned (we sin) the consequential result is suffering. Man’s disobedience to God led to God giving His Son to have us reconciled back to Him. Therefore, the Father suffered as His Son took on our suffering. Yes suffering because of my personal and/or ancestral choices can in fact cause me to accept Christ for my personal savior; call on God in the crises moments of my daily living, but it was not the original plan of God for His creation. There are some things I have no desire to suffer due to my choices, so I choose to obey the command of God. There are other things that I struggle with (not because I desire to suffer), but because they have some earthly benefit and comfort. Meanwhile there are situations that I find myself that have occurred because of the influence of another that cause me to suffer, leading me to believe that I must go through the pain for my health and deliverance. But because Christ suffered on the cross that I may have life and have it more abundantly…I will to worship my Heavenly Father, praise my Kinsman Redeemer and rejoice with the Holy Spirit. I don’t have to suffer to gain the promise that are written, I just have to know what they are and stay in the presence of God.
In the instance of "no pain no gain" we are talking about suffering in your walk with Christ.
1 Peter 2: 20 tells us Youu don't gain anything by being punished for some wrong you have done. But God will bless you, if you have to suffer for doing somethng good. 21 After all, God chose you to suffer as you follow in the footsteps of Christ, who set an example by suffering for you.

You do not have to go through pain for your health and deliverance because Jesus is your healer and is able to deliver you out of any situation. We as a people think that we are not going to be tested and tried while we are working for God. Plus we want all that God has for us but we don't want to do the work or give up our ways to serve him completely. One of the fruits of the spirit is longsuffering,

1 Peter 4: 1 says Christ suffered here on earth. Now you must be ready to suffer as he did, because suffering shows that you have stopped sinning. verse 12-13 says Dear friends, don't be surprised or shocked that you are going through testing that is like walking through fire. Be glad for the chance to suffer as Christ suffered. It will perpare you for even greater happines when he makes his glorious return.

When we suffer for Christ's message that is our gain. Verse 14 says Count it a blessing when you suffer for being a Christian. This shows that God's glorious Spirit is with you.
God bless!
As HE said to the rich young ruler,go give all your wealth to the poor and follow Me.Christians straddle that line of faith and fake daily. The suffering in which we( Might) fall into for the love of God,is the transfermation, from fleshy to spiritual,it;s scary because we read the bible, hear the stories, and for some reason we think we;re not going to have too experience, the walk, but we all have to,one way of another,we have to show true sacrifce,or stay balanced on that tightrope we walk, called this world!
I agree there are just some things one must give up in order to follow GOD's plan. I also believe that when GOD is ready to bless you, he will remove those things he must rid you of if you have not voluntarily given them up.

I am currently experiencing this in my own life and I know it's GOD because as long and hard as I have held onto this one thing, when GOD recently removed it from me, I did not fall apart or break down like I would have done a month or so ago. Don't get me wrong, it hurt, but not to the point of tears. God knew how difficult it would have been for me so he prepared my heart. I am now expecting great things from GOD as he has already proven himself to me in a mighty way this year thus far. I hear in my head "Be still and know that I am GOD."

I am ready and waiting to see GOD do new, improved and wonderful things in my life.
Amen Sista keep on trusting and believeing
