HOLINESS STANDARDS

Follow peace with all men, and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.

I see so many Apostolics falling from holiness standards. Whats wrong with Apostolics today? Isn't sin still sin? I see men with there pants to tight, pants falling off dragging the ground almost talking about the seat of there pants. I see women cutting there hair, wearing make-up, earrings, rings on every finger, Isn't sin still sin. Come out from among them and be ye seperate saith the Lord.

The Apostolics are no longer Apostolic - Why Not?

B CAUSE THEY WANT 2 LOOK LIKE THE WORLD AND HAVE BEEN INFLUENCED BY THE WORLD. THE WORLD IS TELLIN THEM IT DON'T TAKE ALL OF THAT 2 B SAVED AND SOME R SAYIN I CAN B SAVED WITH ALL OF THAT STUFF ON. AND THE BIBLE SAID B 4 HE COMES THERE WOULD B A GREAT FALLIN AWAY OF THE SAINTS AND SO THE WORD IS JUST FULFILLIN IT'S SELF.

Sis, you said something that is right on. There would be a GREAT FALLING AWAY, the sad part is they still sit in churches and don't even realize like Sampson, the spirit of God has departed and they not even know it.
I pray Lord Bring them back if at all possible.

Your heart isn't right if you don't have the Holy Ghost. If you had the Holy Ghost, the same one I do, you would know the scriptures are right, these things are of the world. If any man love the world (man or woman) the love of the Father is not in him. If it is a sin for a man to wear make-up and jewelry, I can just see the looks I would get, with some nice eye liner, may be some blush, and my ears pierced 5 or six times, and my nose too, any sin yet, oh no, God looks on the heart, please. If I can't wear it, than neither should you.

The Bible teaches Modesty and whats modest for a 25 year old woman will look crazy on a 60 year old woman. That said modesty is relative to the individual. I have been saved 25 years saved in the Apostolic church and alot of what we called holiness wasnt. We put more emphasis on clothing than we did on the transforming power of the Holy Ghost, People did not wear make up or jewelry but they did not Love either. Jesus said by this shall all men know you are my disciples if you have Love one for another.... Not if you dont wear an ear ring. the Holy Ghost will change your character and character is the foundation of who you are. If you were a Whore without him he will transform you into a lady and somethings you wont wear because of the power on the inside. Men the same applies to you if you was thuggin without the holy Ghost He will transform you from the inside and you will not advertise thug. That said The Gospel is what Jesus told us to preach Death,Burial and Resurrection that changes sinners. Doctrine is for the saints and the very meaning of the word Doctrine is Teaching; Teach the people to embrace God and the Standard will be there. and if there are some in the midst that dont embrace the standard Dont preach on them. Preach the word and the word will produce the fruit. I have heard preacher preach about how they took off their cut out shoes and took off their earrings and then condemn folks to hell like they were glad they were going and I was shouting the loudest until God changed my heart Im about the saving of souls and deliverance of Gods people. I dont want nobody to go to hell. Now with that said The message of Salvation is Acts 2:38 plain and simple Doctrine comes after that however we can not say a person is not saved because of make up or jewelry Peter would have said so and he did not the message of SALVATION IS REPENT BE BAPTISED AND RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST! that is salvation the rest is doctrine

Bishop Mallory: I agree with you that salvation is Acts 2:38, Repentance, Baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ, and the infilling of the gift of the Holy Ghost, then comes teaching them Doctrine and LIVING doctrine. Obeying Doctrine is just as important as obeying Acts 2:38.

He is soooooo right. I grew up in the Pentecostal church with my grandmother; my dress was covering my shoes; however I found that they come up about just as fast as the short ones. My grandmother died and I had no one to pull my ear and make me go to church. I stopped going..Although my skirt was long and I mean really long; my heart was a mess.
That word that she put in me as a child was still there; not the dress code.When I got of age; I went to church right after the club; because I knew that the lord had need of me. I didn't own a long skirt then. ( What should I have don't not went; you think that's what God wanted?) I sat in the back. At that time in my life so much was going on I didn't need anyone talking about what I had on.(Belive me it wasn't as deep as what I was going through) I needed a word from God something to change my heart. I am so glad and thankful to God that nobody hurt me more while I was in this transition stage; (My flesh was thinking like you saying don't go; YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO WEAR).However not long after the lord dealt with me; my skirt came down longer. God worked on my heart; after God got my heart together; God was able to start working on my mind.
The world is not the same as in the old days; when my grandmother was here. Sin is the same; however I remember that at one point in time no matter what there was a level respect for older people. (weather your mother my mother it didn't matter.) These children today don't have that because of a lot of reasons; They wasn't bought up in the church. A lot of the reason for that is because this is the generation that tired of talking about the skirt and pants. They have real struggle. There look for CHANGE. In if their hearts are not change God is not taking them to heaven because the skirts are long; or because they don't wear makeup or jewel. Jesus will be back soon and they need a word.He wants us to go an claim the land. He said IF I BE LIFTED UP I WILL DRAW ALL MEN UNTO YOU. Be Blessed my brother.

Now I like How The Bishop just Put it R.G Mallory Yes Point out what is important "Salvation" saving Souls The Holy Ghost will do the Cleaning Up. The Sad thing is that Preachers are Not Preaching Salvation 1st Before they Talk about peoples character. Because what I've Seen happen is new comers that come won't come No more after they have been preached On. Even when that Person gets Saved you have to be careful, not to slay them, let the Holy Ghost do the Cleaning up, the condeming. But I do Believe In Holiness or Hell and we can't just come into Gods House Looking Like any Ol thing. People Have to Be Taught Holiness, Not condemed as soon as they come in the Doors
