Is The Trinity Biblical?

The Trinity is a basic doctrine of orthodox Christianity. Yet the word "Trinity" is not found anywhere in the Bible. Is the doctrine of the Trinity really biblical?
The doctrine of the Trinity says that there is one All Mighty One (God) who exists eternally as three distinct persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I can assure you that the elements of this doctrine are all taken directly from the Bible.
The first plank of the Trinitarian platform is that there is only one All Mighty One (God). The Bible could not be more explicit on this point, which it states explicitly about two dozen times. In Isaiah 44:8 Yahweh (The LORD) says that even He does not know of any other (mighty ones)gods!
Yahshua (Jesus) often spoke of the All Mighty One (God) as His Father, and the apostles frequently spoke of "the Almighty One (God) the Father." But the New Testament also insists that Yahshua (Jesus) is The Almighty One (God). For example, Thomas acknowledged Yahshua (Jesus) as, "My Lord(master) and my Almighty One (God)" (John 20:28), and both Peter and Paul spoke of Yahshua (Jesus) as "our All Mighty One (God) and Savior" (2 Pet. 1:1; Tit. 2:13). Yet the New Testament also makes the distinction between the Father and the Son as two very different persons. In fact they tell us that they love one another, speak to each other, and seek to glorify each other (e.g., John 17: 1-26).
The Old Testament refers often to the Holy Spirit as The Almighty One (God) at work in the world, without distinction from the Father. But Yahshua (Jesus) in John 14 to 16 explained that this Holy Spirit would be sent by the Father at the Messiah’s (Christ's) request. The Holy Spirit would teach and guide the disciples, not speaking on His own initiative, but speaking on the Messiah’s 9Christ's) behalf and glorifying The messiah (Christ). Thus, the Holy Spirit is revealed by The Messiah (Christ) to be a third person distinct from the Father and distinct from the Son.
In short, the doctrine of the Trinity is completely and totally biblical, and it is essential that all the Followers of the Messiah Yahshua (Christians) give assent to this doctrine.

Rev. Derek you said in your article in the Trinity: The Trinity is an unfathomable, and yet unmistakable doctrine in Scripture. As Jonathan Edwards noted, after studying the topic extensively, “I think [the doctrine of the Trinity] to be the highest and deepest of all Divine mysteries” (An Unpublished Treatise on the Trinity).

My Answer: the mystery is revealed unto us in this scripture not the Trinity!
1 Timothy 3:16 (King James Version)

16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
I will agree that the word trinity is not in the bible but that the doctrine is implied. Lets call it the Unity doctrine of God (Eloihem ) whose name is Yahweh.

Godhead is found in the bible three times. Acts 17:29 the Greek word for Godhead is theious which means divine what is God's especially and what proceeds from Him. Distinguished from Theos (God), as indeed theiotes (divinity), is distingusihed from theotes (Godhead). Theious denotes an attribute of
God and not the character of God in its totality, see 2 pet. 1:3,4. In Class. Gr. the adj. denoted the power of God as the noun Theiotes definitely does in Rom. 1:20

Romans 1:20 Greek word for Godhead is theiotes which means divinity, only in Rom.1:20.

and Col. 2:9 the Greek word for Godhead is theotes which means deity.
The whole notion of a Jewish trinitarian God was refuted back in Duet 6--the Sh'ma. No ancient Jew who obeyed Torah could ever believe that God was a Trinity. Ib fact, the Sh'ma's purpose was just that--the refute any notion that Yahweh was 3, 3 in 1, etc.

'There were Trinity gods in their day, preferably from Babylon and Egypt. I think its heresey to believe our Yahweh is trinity. The Lord our God is ONE. You may find this interesting, but Elohim takes on the primary meaning of "Mighty One" or "Strong One". It does not have anything to do with Yah being trinitarian. Thats the misunderstanding among Christians.

Angels, the Judges, Rulers, were all called Elohim, for they were called Mighty Ones, and it is so with the Lord our God. Being a Greek student myself, I am familar with Theotes, and the other Greek forms of the word. Technically, they all mean the same thing, but the forms of the words are different. Deity, divine, must be looked at from a Jewish context, and not a Greek context. Greeks were polytheistic themselves, and so their culture opened doors for trinity gods.

God being "deity", and "divine", in Jewish thought, does not give way for Yahweh being a trinity, for he is ONE.
Amen Brother Ware,

Colossians 2:9-10

9. For in him (Jesus) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

1 Corinthians 12:4-5

4. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. (JESUS)
I like to ask each of you, we are all believers in ONE God, and then we walked and talked and lived with an individual, that died and rose from the dead, and reappeared to us and told us that HE would send us back a comforter, who would you say this person is?
Amen, see to understand the unity, opens all doors, the disciples had to reconcile their belief in ONE God, with a risen Yeshua, that walked and talked with them. OH God that sends shivers through my body! how does God know how I feel? how I hurt, how I mess up? through Yeshua, my advocate, HIS blood covers me, He pleads my case to Abba, He says I know, I AM, the sacrifice, and HE sent us a Comforter, to lead and guide us, while he prepares a place for us
Anthony,

The trinity is wholly pagan. It does not go back to the earliest Church, neither did ancient Hebrews believe in such.
Everybody that is a Trinitarian believer, needs to first understand the word "one". There is NO ONE GOD, that is metaphorically or symbolically ONE, He is LITERALLY ONE! There cant be a second or third person with a singular entity. The one singular entity we serve, HE IS the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Now, I do agree that the One God does reveal Himself to humanity distinctly as the three, but the Father, Son and Holy Spirit isnt divided, seperated or disunified. Then, every Trinitarian needs to do their homework. We as the One Church in the Earth, that Jesus Christ Himself established and confirmed and sealed on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2, NEVER believed or supported God being 3 distinct SEPERATE persons... I can accept the distinction because it's uniquely true, but seperate.. that's garbage! Do your homework through history, the doctrine of the Trinity was introduced by the paganistic Catholic Church, and the Original Church split with the Roman Catholic Church over this issue.. and also a bunch of other issues that the Catholic Church brought into the Lord's Church that was pure heresy.. like the introduction of the holidays
Elijah,

I agree brother. The Septuagint, which uses an older Hebrew that is 1000+ years older than the Masoretic Text that our current bibles use, states in Deut 6 that Yehwah is one Lord. What this means is that Yehwah is the only God of all, and there is no beside him. It also states that He is not "trinity." He is a majestic unity. He controls ALL things.
Yea, we need to research something before we go teaching it. Christmas, Easter, St. Valentine's Day, St. Patricks Day, the changing of the Church worship day from Sabbath Day (Saturday) to the first day of the week (Sunday), the emphasis of Mary the mother of Jesus in worship, and a bunch of other heresy was brought into the Church by the Catholic Church... and we just go along with it, without seeking God for clarity. The enemy has always for the longest taken God's pure order and tried to copy it with corruptive government... the removal of the Lord's days such as the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Tabernacles, Passover, Pentecost, etc.. all of these were replaced with the aforementioned holidays by the Catholic Church in an act AGAINST the Jews.. And for all of those that say we dont have to keep the feast days anymore.. Read 1 Corinthians 5:7-8.. shows you how we keep the above Feasts and in what spirit we keep them in and not in the oldness of the letter, but the newness of the Spirit!
AMEN SUPERINTENDENT:

The scriptures below helped me to understand who Jesus is. He is God. He and his Father are One. The Holy Spirit is his (JESUS) spirit dwelling in Us.
